Wayfair's revenue last year was $13.7 billion.

Recently, Wayfair, a home furnishing e-commerce platform , released its full-year report. Data showed that its net income in 2021 was US$13.7 billion, a decrease of US$437 million from 2020 , a year-on-year decrease of 3.1% , of which the net income in the US market was US$11.2 billion. The net loss was US$131 million, and the non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA was US$614 million.

In addition, the number of users on the platform has also declined. As of December 31, 2021, there were approximately 27.3 million active users , a year-on-year decrease of 12.5%, and the platform categories exceeded 30 million products. Among them, repeat customers are the main source of income. In the fourth quarter of 2021, repeat purchase user orders accounted for 76.3%, and 9.2 million orders were placed, a year-on-year decrease of 22.7%. According to Wayfair, this means that it has a loyal customer base.

Although sales and user numbers have declined, Wayfair is confident in continued growth in the future and plans to continue to increase investment to promote it.

There is still a large portion of physical revenue in the company's business categories, and Wayfair will also take advantage of this and provide customers with a physical experience. It will launch several physical concept stores later this year and early 2023 .

Wayfair was founded in the United States in 2002 and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. It has more than 16,000 employees. In addition to operating in North America, it has also been developing in the European market. Wayfair.de has also entered the top 4 German furniture platforms and achieved net sales of 215.4 million euros in 2020 .

Wayfair also plans to further expand in Europe in the future . Wayfair said, "Now that we have a solid foundation in the UK and Germany, we can further penetrate the European market. In 2022, we will start with neighboring countries and leverage our developed regional supplier network in more than 30 European countries. "

Wayfair has already established strong relationships with local European suppliers, showing early traction in this huge market , and will also use proven strategies to expand its B2B business. By doing so, Wayfair can work with global suppliers and continue to expand its advantages.

The epidemic has further promoted the development of the home furnishing market, and e-commerce platforms are constantly emerging. If Wayfair wants to enhance its market competitiveness, it needs to adjust its strategy in a timely manner to keep up with the times.
