Institutional survey: What Americans are most dissatisfied with Amazon

What are Americans most dissatisfied with about Amazon?

 

Recently, research firm Brooks Bell surveyed more than 1,000 American consumers to understand their shopping habits and experiences on Amazon.

 

Among these respondents, almost 90% are Amazon Prime members. Among them, nearly one-third (31%) have been members for more than 6 years; 41% have been members for 3-4 years; 16% have been members for 0-2 years; and 13% do not use membership.

 

68% of respondents said they visit Amazon daily or weekly just to browse products, while 74% said they visit Amazon to buy products. 13% of respondents even said that they spend more than half of their monthly non-gas, food and household budgets on Amazon.

 

Nearly three-quarters ( 71%) of respondents feel good about shopping on Amazon, but the sentiment varies by age group. Among those over 60, 73% feel good about shopping on Amazon, while the figure is slightly lower at 63% for those under 29.

 

Respondents also differed on their views of Amazon’s place in the world, with 42% of younger generations saying Amazon makes the world a better place, compared with 27% of those aged 60 and over.

 

Although consumers spend a lot of time and money on Amazon, they also complain about the bad things about shopping on Amazon. When it comes to the bad experience of shopping on Amazon, there are mainly the following aspects:

 

Nearly one -third ( 30%) of respondents said they receive late or low-quality products from Amazon at least once a month.

2. Nearly half ( 44%) of the respondents said that the products they want are out of stock at least once a month;

3. 36% of respondents said they could not find the products they wanted quickly;

4. 23% of respondents said that returns were difficult or impossible;

5. 13% of respondents said they received the wrong product due to unclear or incorrect listings.

 

In addition, the report also pointed out that consumers like to check product reviews through channels such as review blogs ( 29), YouTube (20%), and expert advice (19%).
