Wadi.com is an online marketplace founded in 2015 and affiliated to the Middle East Internet Group (MEIG). It adopts the online bazaar model to provide users with more than 150,000 products.

About Wadi.com

Wadi.com sells more than 150,000 products and more than 2,000 international brands. When it was first established, Wadi.com’s target market was the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Now, with the development of the platform, it has covered Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

·Founded in 2013, MEIG is a leading e-commerce group in the Middle East. It is a joint venture between German incubator RocketInternet and South African telecom operator MTN. Its e-commerce platforms include Wadi, Helpling, Vaniday, Easytaxi, Lamudi and Carmudi, among which Wadi.com is the fastest growing one.

Products on Wadi.com include: baby products, beauty products, consumer electronics, digital accessories (mobile phones, electronic and computer accessories), home appliances, kitchen products, mobile phones, personal care products, computers, toys, video games (consoles and games), watches and home products, stationery, men's and women's clothing, men's and women's accessories (shoes, bags, sunglasses, perfumes), health and automobiles, etc.

Advantages

1. The founder of Wadi.com said in an interview in 2017 that the most severe adjustments Wadi.com faced in the Middle East may come from customs and logistics. The biggest differentiated development Wadi.com made after its Series A financing was to build a logistics system in the Middle East, which has become Wadi.com’s biggest advantage.

2. The platform's logistics and distribution can achieve the delivery of 85% of commodity orders within 48 hours. Of course, the rapid development of the platform has also attracted a large number of sellers. Currently, there are tens of thousands of cooperative sellers on the platform and more than 2,000 brand suppliers.

Entry conditions

E-commerce in the Middle East started relatively late, so many platforms have not yet allowed overseas sellers to settle in. However, Wadi.com is one of the few platforms that allows Chinese sellers to settle in. When settling in, sellers need to meet certain conditions and provide relevant information.

4. Provide the correct delivery address. The platform's procurement team will receive the order and deliver it to the customer based on the address provided by the seller.

5. Bank account. Sellers need to submit a valid bank account for payment of platform products and platform commissions.

Note: According to Wadi.com's official statement, sellers must meet the above conditions before they can join the platform.
