Allegro enables buying and selling across the EU

Allegro has announced that they are going international within the EU and will launch their English services, enabling European customers and merchants to benefit from access to the Allegro marketplace within the EU.

 

The news means that customers across the EU will be able to search and buy goods in English and pay in euros on the online marketplace . Allegro will work with its partners to resolve cross-border deliveries and payments .

 

It is understood that Allegro will also acquire Mall Group operating in Central and Eastern Europe . This move will also promote Allegro 's development in Europe and consolidate its position in Europe .

 

Allegro’s CEO says international expansion is a key priority for his company . As Poland’s most visited online marketplace, Allegro is taking another big step on its expansion roadmap.

 

With the planned acquisition of The Marketplace Group underway, it is strengthening another of our pillars in Europe, expanding the millions of offers on its platform for EU customers and merchants. European buyers will benefit from Allegro's focus on selection, price and hassle-free delivery, while EU merchants on the platform will expand the number of potential customers.

 

Polish and international merchants will be able to offer their products in English to consumers across the EU . Allegro will provide merchants with a hassle-free service throughout the entire process. For example, it will take care of the translation of quotations and provide the necessary support to both parties of such transactions before and after the purchase. The platform will also help process deliveries and euro payments together with its partners.

 

The company's head said that until the platform launches allegro.com, which is dedicated to international quotes , customers can use the allegro.pl website with international settings already enabled .

 

As one of the most competitive online shopping platforms in Poland, Allegro has become a strong competitor to Amazon in Poland. Recently, the platform released its 2021 performance report, with annual revenue reaching 1.14 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 33.9%. At the same time, the company stated that its revenue will continue to grow in 2022.

 

It is understood that Allegro currently has 15.5 million active users and approximately 133,000 merchants on the platform.
