Russian e-commerce platform Citilink has 2.3 million daily users

Citilink was founded in 2008. It is not only a Russian chain store, but also a leader in the field of 3C home appliances in the Russian e-commerce market . Since its development, the platform has continuously expanded its product range , and now there are about 150,000 products on sale on the website .

 

According to local media reports, Citilink's sales in 2021 increased by 26% from 2020 to 175 billion rubles . Data showed that the platform had an average of about 2.3 million daily users in 2021 , and the number of active sellers increased to 253,000.

 

The most popular categories in terms of sales are laptops , mobile communications , component and server equipment, TVs, office equipment , etc.

 

In 2021, in addition to continuously increasing sales , Citilink also focused on expanding its geographical distribution and increasing expertise in product categories. In 2021, the retail and warehousing network area increased by 1.5 times to 253,000 square meters , and the total area including logistics facilities was 400,000 square meters. In addition, 262 new outlets were opened , and the total number has reached 1,069, including stores and pickup points across Russia.

 

Citilink is also opening up new categories and plans to increase the number of product categories to 1 million. Its CEO said that the company is not only expanding its traditional product categories , electronic products and computer equipment, but also actively adding new categories for customers , such as household items, garden supplies, automotive products, etc.

 

Electronic products are a popular category in the Russian e-commerce market, and Citilink has advantages in this regard. In addition, Citilink is constantly improving its services, which can not only meet more needs of sellers and buyers, but also improve its competitiveness in the market.

 

Russian e-commerce is in a period of vigorous development. According to the final report on the Russian e-commerce logistics market in 2021 released by Data Insight some time ago , its online market shipments reached 1.57 billion pieces , an increase of 78% over 2020 , among which Wildberries and Ozon, the two e-commerce giants, still dominated.

 

Although not as popular as European and American countries, the Russian e-commerce market also has huge potential. Relevant sellers can pay more attention to local developments.
