Recently, the British Trading Standards Association announced the recall of a number of products due to safety risks.

The recalled products are as follows:

1. FB Funky Purchasing Children's Toy Storage Box

The product is a foldable children's toy storage box that can also be used as a child seat. The product was manufactured in China and the recall number is 2201-0166.

The British Trading Standards Association believes that products with an enclosed volume greater than 0.03 square meters and all internal dimensions of 150 mm and above should provide at least two ventilation holes. If not, children are likely to be trapped in the product, posing a certain risk of suffocation.

"In addition, when the filling material of the product was tested, it was found to be extremely /highly flammable and if the product caught fire, children would be very likely to be burned. Such products pose a dual risk of suffocation and burns and do not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Regulations 2011. The product has now been recalled from consumers."

2. Primark Wooden Xylophone

The recalled product is a wooden xylophone with soft notes and a wooden baton bar used to play the instrument. The product was manufactured in China and the recall number is 2201-0125.

The British Trading Standards Association believes that the small parts in this product may fall off the product. If a child accidentally swallows some of the small parts , there is a high possibility of choking . The product has been determined to be a choking risk and does not comply with the relevant requirements of the Toy Safety Regulations 2011. The product has been recalled from consumers.

3. H&M Wig Glitter Hair Clip

The product is a wig decoration hairpin with a battery compartment that can glow after batteries are installed. The product was manufactured in China and sold from July 23 to October 29, 2021. The recall number is 2201-0204.

The British Trading Standards Association believes that the cable cross-section of the product is insufficient, and there is a high possibility of overheating and fire due to improper wiring during use. Therefore, the product was determined to have a high fire risk and did not comply with the relevant requirements of the Electrical Equipment Regulations 2016.

Other recalled products include atomizers that pose a moderate risk of electric shock, casseroles that pose a risk of burns, etc. Safety is no small matter, and sellers must strictly control the quality of their products when producing them!
