Amazon launches new listing tools to help sellers operate efficiently

Recently, Amazon released a new announcement, saying that it will launch new tools for sellers of handmade products to help sellers improve operational efficiency. At the same time, due to system reasons, the flash sales of handmade products have been temporarily suspended.

It is reported that this time Amazon will provide Dynamic Custom Templates (DCT) for Handmade sales partners to help sellers automatically generate Excel templates and apply their customizations to multiple ASINs.

Using this bulk listing tool, sellers can get the following help:

1. Reduce listing and directory management time

2. Create or edit SKU/ASIN across all custom types (text, images and options) and product surfaces

3. Export custom data and apply it to products with similar fonts, colors, and components

4. Edit and update sellers’ existing listings and add new custom products

Afterwards, sellers expressed their views on the tool in the comment section.

Seller A: This is awesome! I can't wait to try it!

Seller B: While I like this new Amazon policy, it doesn’t help me if it requires 20 steps to complete, and I don’t trust Amazon’s excel upload feature. I can’t screw up my entire inventory by trying to use that tool.

Shopify has a really great and simple download/upload system for inventory management via spreadsheets, not sure why everything is so complicated here .

Although some sellers have doubts about the practicality of the new tools, most sellers believe that the new tools can help them improve operational efficiency and reduce waste of time and manpower.

It is worth noting that since Amazon needs to make technical updates to the Handmade product features, Handmade sellers have stopped creating flash sales since November 22, 2021. If sellers submit flash sales before December 7, 2021, they will not be affected by this change; flash sales after December 7 will be canceled and the fees will be refunded.

Amazon recommends the following types of deals and promotions for sellers:

1. Sellers can use the coupon option to offer customers discounts on a single product or a group of products. Customers can discover coupons on the coupon homepage, search results, product detail pages, and shopping carts.

2. "Prime Exclusive Discounts" are only available to Prime customers. Products with Prime Exclusive Discounts will display strike-through pricing and discount information for Prime customers on the product detail page. Sellers' products must be in FBA to participate in Prime Exclusive Discounts.

3. "7-Day Deals", which are time-limited promotional offers where products are displayed on the Amazon Deals page for a limited number of days.
