For Amazon sellers, one of the most worrying issues is the sudden suspension of their accounts. Especially in the context of this year's account suspension wave, some of the top sellers' accounts that have been suspended have not yet been unblocked, and the losses can be imagined. Recently, another batch of Amazon accounts were suddenly suspended ...
20 Amazon accounts suddenly crashed
"It seems that the accounts were scanned today. Do you have a large-scale second review?" An Amazon seller asked in the group yesterday morning. According to feedback from sellers, a batch of accounts suddenly crashed yesterday, most of which were newly registered accounts. It is suspected that the relevant review of the Amazon platform is being tightened.
A seller shared his experience in an industry forum: more than 20 accounts of the company were suddenly suspended. These accounts were all on Amazon US and had not violated any regulations during operation. And before the accounts were blocked, there was no warning from the platform.
Another seller had a similar experience. He said he had put up eight stores in the morning, all of which were newly registered.
The sellers whose accounts were blocked received an email:
The content is as follows:
"Hello,
Your Amazon.com seller account has been deactivated. Your listings have been removed. Please ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account. You have 90 days from receiving this notification to request a disbursement of funds by contacting [email protected]. We will conduct an individual investigation to evaluate your account, and we may withhold some or all of the funds in your account if we find that you have engaged in deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or have abused our systems or repeatedly violated our policies to protect our customers and selling partners.
Why does this happen? We were unable to verify information associated with your seller account or received any new information about your listings or sales history.
You can view your account performance or select Account Health on the home screen of the Amazon Seller app on your iOS or Android device. The Account Health page shows how your account is performing against the performance metrics and policies required to sell on Amazon. We may not respond to further messages regarding this issue … ”
Judging from the email alone, Amazon did not clearly explain the reason for blocking the account, which confused the sellers. They believed that this was most likely a second review. However, sellers with relevant experience said that the email received in the second review would generally ask the seller to provide water and electricity account numbers, but this email did not contain relevant information.
The seller whose account was blocked further explained that the more than 20 accounts that suddenly went down were all registered by themselves, without purchasing links from service providers, including a new account that had just been registered for more than ten days. These accounts had previously passed postcard authentication, but did not trigger video verification. It took about a week for the accounts to be registered.
Coincidentally, another seller said that on that day, three of his US accounts were scanned, suspected to be a second review, and the email he received was the same as that of the above-mentioned sellers whose accounts were blocked.
“It looks like a second instance, but the email is different from the previous second instance.” The seller was very confused, and after clicking on the appeal entrance, the second instance window appeared, requiring the provision of natural gas, electricity, water or Internet service bills to reactivate the account.
The seller confirmed that these accounts were all reliable information of his own people, registered in April, July and November respectively , and the accounts had been verified by address before, but the video verification was not triggered. His accounts were legal for promotion and advertising, without any illegal operations, and the business license was completely normal, and it was reported every quarter.
After hearing this, a seller concluded that if the license is normal and registered by oneself, the link is normal and there is no service provider involved, then the seller may just be unlucky and be sent to the second review.
Amazon Iron Fist Second Review: Sellers’ Backstage Funds Were Taken Away
Previously, a seller said that after registering a new account, the account was suspended because it was reviewed because no products were uploaded. However, in this incident that seems to be a second review, the blocked seller's account was not idle. The product was uploaded normally, and the account suddenly crashed when the goods were on the way.
According to informed sellers, there have been many problems with newly registered accounts recently. It is said that Amazon is moving towards video authentication to control the number of new accounts. Accounts without videos will trigger a second review and will be difficult to pass.
Some colleagues also said that if they encountered video verification when registering an account before, there would be no problem during Amazon's batch review. Some sellers also took the initiative to trigger video review to prevent the account from suddenly hanging up in the future.
According to previous cases, some sellers said that self-registering a store requires postcard and video verification. Video verification only requires the legal person to read the company name and answer the verification officer's basic identity information questions. Everything else can be answered by others, and it is nothing more than showing the legal person's ID card and business license. The only thing to note is that the self-registration video verification time is only half an hour. If it is not completed within the time limit, you need to reschedule the time for verification.
In this incident, the affected sellers had multiple accounts shut down at once, and this was not an isolated case. This problem is really scary. Among various audits, the second instance has always been considered a difficult hurdle by sellers because of the difficulty of appeal.
In early April this year , Amazon suddenly launched a large-scale account sweep, and many sellers triggered the second review. Regardless of whether they registered their accounts themselves or through the link provided by the investment manager, or whether their accounts passed the first or second review, all were affected, involving a wide range of people.
After the incident, many sellers tried to save their accounts, but soon after, Amazon launched another round of sweeps. The accounts that were just swept on April 2 were the first to be hit. Some accounts that had not yet appealed were swept again. Other accounts that had just successfully appealed were swept again, and were back to the days before liberation - they were blocked again. Some sellers were mentally devastated and called it the third or fourth review : "There is no end. I passed the second review and the third review. The account that just passed last week was blocked again."
After being blocked in April 2, many sellers insisted on appealing and submitted various materials in the hope of getting their blocked accounts back, but few of them succeeded. A seller on the Japanese site said that his account was blocked in April 2, and he submitted a total of 48 non-duplicate documents, and finally succeeded in his appeal, but only 3 hours later, the seller encountered the third review.
Yesterday, some sellers reported that the accounts that were previously subject to a second review due to fake links had their funds deducted from the backend yesterday. “All the money was confiscated, and no email was sent,” said one seller.
It has to be said that Amazon's audits have become more stringent. Sellers are reminded to use clean information when registering a new account, and to avoid illegal operations such as fake orders and fake reviews after registration to ensure that the account operates in compliance with regulations.
