Amazon's new plan allows sellers to receive bonuses of up to 30% of sales!

Amazon US released an announcement on December 14, announcing the launch of a new brand referral bonus program.

 

The announcement stated that through the new brand referral bonus program, brand sellers can improve their advertising efficiency outside Amazon while receiving bonuses.

 

When brands direct traffic from non-Amazon marketing campaigns to Amazon listings, they can earn a bonus that averages 10% of the sales of the promoted product . In addition, brands receive the same bonus for any branded product the customer purchases within the next two weeks.

 

 

Specifically, after successfully registering for the program, if sellers bring in off-site traffic to Amazon, Amazon will provide sellers with an average bonus of about 10% of product sales . Even if the consumer does not place an order on the spot, Amazon will record the consumer's information, and if the consumer purchases the brand's products within two weeks, the seller can also receive a bonus.

 

The actual reward rate for sellers may vary depending on the product categories and sales volume they sell. For example, the maximum bonus for Amazon device accessories is 30% of sales volume , and the bonus rate for electronic product accessories is between 5% and 10% depending on sales volume. Sellers can also view specific data in the backend.

 

It is understood that this brand recommendation bonus program is currently only limited to sellers on the Amazon.com. Only brand owners can register for this program, and they need to authorize their own brands on Amazon.

 

However, it should be noted that the bonuses obtained through the brand recommendation bonus program cannot be withdrawn directly, but are used to offset the seller's sales commission. If there is any bonus left, it will be retained to offset the commission again next month. Therefore, it is still impossible to "take advantage" of Amazon directly .

 

Industry insiders have analyzed that Amazon 's traffic growth has reached a bottleneck and is facing more and more competitors. In addition to traditional competitors such as Walmart, Target, and Kroger, social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are also vigorously entering the e-commerce market. In this case, Amazon will encourage sellers to divert traffic to Amazon from outside the site.
