As Black Friday approaches, consumers from all over the world are becoming more and more enthusiastic about spending. Many people have made lists in advance, ready to take advantage of the Black Friday discounts to "stock up". Although the recovery from the epidemic has allowed physical stores to recover to a certain extent, many consumers are still looking forward to shopping discounts in online stores.
In Spain, a survey shows that 70% of consumers said they would participate in the Black Friday shopping festival by combining online and offline methods, and only 4% of consumers chose to shop only offline.
For consumers who pay attention to online shopping, 36% of consumers are most looking forward to the Black Friday discounts on e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon and AliExpress, which are within the range of platforms they expect to shop; secondly, 16.1% of consumers see the discounts on brands and store independent websites; and 7.5% of consumers are looking forward to the discounts in mobile apps.
The survey results found that this year's Black Friday, electronic technology products will be the focus of Spanish consumers' purchase considerations, accounting for 73.5%; 70.6% of consumers also said they were ready to buy fashion and sports shoes; and 39.8% of consumers considered buying entertainment and cultural products.
In terms of budget, 55% of Spanish consumers will spend between 100 and 250 euros on Black Friday this year. Consumers who intend to buy electronic products will spend around 175 euros.
Before placing an order on Black Friday, most consumers will first check stores or brand websites to see if there are suitable products. 53.2% of consumers will look for shopping inspiration through social media; 47% will look directly on e-commerce platforms; 37.8% will look for shopping inspiration through advertisements. In addition, 60% of consumers said that Black Friday shopping is for Christmas gift giving.
Therefore, in future shopping festival promotions, merchants can arrange and put goods on the shelves in advance, and promote them through multiple channels to attract consumers' attention.
Previous surveys have shown that compared with the same period last year, Spanish e-commerce sales in the third quarter of this year increased by 14%, three percentage points higher than the global average. The traffic and order volume of e-commerce websites also exceeded the world average. Therefore, it is expected that the e-commerce sales in Spain will continue to rise on Black Friday.
