The punishment method for manipulating reviews has changed again? The investment manager revealed the cause of death of the big selling account...

Big selling accounts are dying one after another, what is the reason?

The incident of the big seller's account being blocked continues to ferment. The latest news indicates that an investment manager revealed the cause of death of the big seller Patonson account, which has little to do with fake orders.

However, Amazon has recently launched a major crackdown on fake orders. Many sellers have received emails from the platform, and the content of the emails is different from before. This made one seller sigh: Has the punishment method for manipulating reviews changed? Is Amazon now following the principle of rather killing a thousand people by mistake than letting one go?

In addition, following the serious overcrowding at the UK DPD warehouse and the US FTW1 warehouse, freight forwarders reported that Amazon's four major warehouses were also experiencing serious overcrowding.

The investment manager revealed the cause of death of Patonson's account

The blocking of top seller accounts is undoubtedly the biggest news in the first half of this year. Patson’s account has not been restored, and other big seller accounts have encountered problems one after another. For a time, a large number of small sellers were trembling and worried about the current situation of big sellers: big seller accounts have been blocked, can I still keep my account? When can the big seller account be restored? What is the reason for the blocking of big seller accounts?

In fact, there have been a lot of speculations recently about the blocking of big sellers' accounts. The answers are nothing more than revolving around fake orders, releasing after-sales cards, etc. The latest statement from the investment manager shows that the reason why Paton's account was blocked was that one of its company's after-sales customer service contacted the buyer to change a bad review, and after being rejected by the buyer, the customer service staff continued to contact, request to change to 4 stars, apologize, bribe, etc., which made the buyer disgusted. So this particularly tough buyer got angry, and the consequences were serious.

It is understood that the buyer happened to be a big blogger. The pair of headphones he bought came with an after-sales service card, so he left his email address and extended the warranty. A few months later, the blogger received an email inviting him to join the VIP program, which is to review the product and then get a full cash back. The blogger honestly gave three stars, but was constantly asked to give at least four stars in order to get a full cash back. The blogger disagreed and was very disgusted by being harassed by the seller , so he collected the after-sales card information, customer service emails, etc., and posted them online, which caused a lot of heated discussion.

We all know what happened next: Paton’s account was blocked!

The editor took a look at the original post of this blogger and found that this blogger is really good at writing. If you need a link to the blogger’s original post, sellers who appreciate the blogger’s long essays are welcome to add the editor’s WeChat yienliuliu.

The penalty method for manipulating reviews has changed again? Many sellers received emails

Regardless, the incident of the big seller’s account being blocked has successfully brought up the old topic of fake orders, and a new round of discussion has begun in the cross-border circle.

One seller said that many sellers completely copied the domestic e-commerce strategies to Amazon, and it was only a matter of time before something went wrong. Given Amazon's nature, it is estimated that this time it will conduct a serious crackdown on fake orders.

Coupled with the recent rumors in the cross-border circle that " the review database has been leaked, about 75,000 Chinese Amazon accounts have been leaked, and about 200,000-250,000 people will be affected by this violation ", a group of sellers who fake orders are already prepared to have their accounts blocked.

As luck would have it, many sellers have recently received warning emails and discovered that Amazon has come up with a new tactic for detecting false reviews.

The editor learned that the email sent by Amazon to a seller who manipulated reviews showed the following:

We have detected review activity on one or more of the products you offer on our site that violates our customer review policy , and we are reducing the frequency with which customers see these products to protect them from untrustworthy reviews.

We will continue to restrict customers from accessing the above products as long as we continue to see activity from them that violates our Customer Review Policy. If you engage in any behavior that violates our Customer Review Policy, such as offering customers incentives to write positive reviews, please suspend them immediately so that we can reverse the action taken on the product.

It is understood that Amazon’s warning email was sent to all accounts that copied the seller ’s ASIN, not just the accounts that reviewed it. Summarizing the email content, it can be seen that after the seller manipulated reviews, the frequency of customers seeing the product decreased. In other words, the product could no longer be seen by all consumers as usual.

In response, many sellers said they had received the same email, and a large number of sellers who had not received such emails were trembling: Directly restricting listing access channels? I have never encountered this before. Is this a new policy? Have you opened a case to ask customer service if there is a solution? Can this link still be saved?

One seller said that he had heard about this punishment before and now he finally saw the specific email. A seller who faked orders worried that Amazon’s practice would also be a blow to those who use small accounts to copy and sell fake orders and sacrifice small accounts to promote products.

Another seller said that Amazon’s practice was actually based on Tmall’s invisible demotion, and the consequences are very serious.

This reminds me of a recent rumor: Chinese people understand best how Chinese people like to make money, so Amazon poached a group of people from Taobao to help deal with illegal businesses.

Regarding the issue of fake orders, sellers should also note that if you walk by the river, you will get your feet wet. The brother-in-law may be late in pursuing accountability but he will not be absent. If the seller is really reluctant to give up fake orders, but wants to minimize the losses at that time, he must do this: record all the evidence of the fake order process, because you will be required to explain one by one at that time.

Sellers beware: 4 warehouses are seriously overstocked

After the big seller’s account was blocked, a group of small sellers were not only watching the show but also secretly happy: the big seller has gone bankrupt, and our chance to boost orders has finally come. But the fact is, Amazon’s warehouses are seriously overwhelmed, and they still cannot make any money.

Recently, a freight forwarder issued the following notice:

Due to the recent severe shortage of operating staff in Amazon warehouses and the continued increase in cargo volume, there is a high possibility that goods bound for the UK and European countries will be delayed in being put on the shelves and slow in receipt.

Amazon’s warehouses are seriously overwhelmed, so there will also be delays in cargo scanning and shipping time in the near future.

We will continue to follow up on this incident and will inform you as soon as possible if there are any updates!
