During the Double 11 shopping festival, AliExpress Russia achieved sales of 33.3 billion rubles, with more than 25.6 million orders placed during the sales period . As of November 11, the number of daily active users exceeded 12.5 million, setting a new record for AliExpress in Russia.
Compared with last year, the number of products in Russian manufacturers and sellers' stores increased 4.5 times to 15.2 million. The best result among sellers came from a local seller, who made more than 1.3 billion rubles during the sale .
During the sales period of Double 11, the total assortment displayed by AliExpress exceeded 209 million items, among which the categories with the most active growth in the number of items were food, electronics, party and wedding items, animal products and underwear.
The representative of AliExpress Russia believes that " this year's Double 11 results exceeded the previous record of AliExpress Russia . We are particularly proud that the turnover of local Russian sellers increased by 136 % , which once again emphasizes the fact of localization . "
The most popular categories during the sale, in terms of number of orders, were home and garden products, electronics and phones, beauty and health products, jewellery and accessories, auto parts and components, tools, activewear and sporting goods, and women’s clothing .
The categories with the fastest growth in order volume are food ( 9041%), cleaning and cleaning products (314%), pet products (79%), baby food (134%), furniture (99%), motorcycle products (90%) and household goods (87%). Online food has seen the most significant growth.
The most popular product in terms of order quantity is Christmas LED wreath. The top 10 also includes: A4 paper, cashmere yarn for knitting, cork for bathroom, Xiaomi Redmi 9A 32GB smartphone, woven colored beads, Samsung Galaxy a03s 32GB smartphone, dishwashing tablets, false eyelashes, untied shoelaces, and Lays crab slices.
In addition, social commerce has also become a major feature and important indicator of AliExpress Russia . Through social commerce channels (social media and affiliate channels), 9.4 million people participated in the sale during the entire period .
Like last year, AliExpress also held an online live broadcast for sales. In the first hour, 500,000 users watched the live broadcast , and the total number of views , including social networks, exceeded 4 million. The top 10 categories of live broadcast sales included mobile phones and accessories, home appliances, consumer electronics, computers and office supplies, work tools, automotive supplies, women's clothing, sports and entertainment products, security products, and lighting.
