In recent years, the safety of products has been increasingly valued by consumers. A good product must be beautiful and practical, and the safety of the product is also very important. Product safety is also related to the business activities of sellers. Recently, another household tool was recalled due to product quality issues.
On November 10, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of approximately 15,700 nail guns manufactured in Vietnam. The reason for the recall is that the contact sensor on the nail gun may malfunction and eject the nails in the body, causing serious injury to the user or bystanders.
The recall number is 22-017, and the product name is Hart 18-gauge 2-inch brad nailers, including HPNR01, HPNR01B, HPNR01B-SK and HPNR01BNCA. The product colors include white, blue and black, with the "HART" logo printed on the side of the nail gun and "18 ga BRAD NAILER" on the side of the white type nail tray with a blue background.
The product was sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at www.walmart.com from April to September 2021 , with prices ranging from $130 to $160. So far, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has not received any reports of injuries or deaths.
The product is no longer available on Walmart.com. Consumers who have purchased the product should immediately stop using it and return it to any Walmart store in the U.S. for a full refund. In addition, consumers can also return the product for free by contacting Walmart for free door-to-door pickup.
As a common tool in our daily life, nail guns deserve more attention for their safety. After all, once the sharp nails are ejected from the machine, the force generated is likely to cause serious harm to people around.
When sellers are producing products, they must also control product quality to ensure the personal and property safety of consumers. Especially during the holiday peak season, if a product is recalled due to quality issues, the negative impact on peak season sales will be very large! Walmart recall Product Safety |
