Amazon is No. 1 again! The trend of the Spanish children's toy market is released

 

In addition to preparing gifts for adults, the end-of-year consumer festival is also a good time for parents to prepare gifts for their children. In anticipation of the upcoming Christmas and Spanish Children's Day, many Spanish consumers will choose to choose gifts for their children during the year-end discount season.

 

Recently, AIJU, the Children's and Leisure Products Technology Research Institute, released the trends of the children's toy market in 2021-2022 to help consumers choose suitable gifts. And related sellers can also make reasonable product selection and stocking through forecasts.

 

The report summarizes four types of Spanish families who buy toys. Among them, the mixed online type of family accounts for the largest proportion, about 34%. The characteristic of this type of family is that they will buy most of the toys for their children in online stores, but they will also consume offline; the next type is more inclined to physical stores, and will buy 50%-89% of the toys in physical stores, but will also buy them online. This type of family accounts for about 30%; the pure physical store purchase type of family accounts for about 27%, and its characteristic is that more than 90% of children's toys will be purchased in physical stores; the last type is pure online purchase, accounting for about 9%, this type of family will buy more than 90% of toys online.

 

This shows that most Spanish families are supportive of online shopping for toys.

 

As for the reasons why they choose online shopping, 42% of the surveyed households said that online shopping wastes less time; another 42% of households said that the price discounts of online products are more attractive; and 35% of households believe that under the influence of the epidemic, online shopping can reduce the risk of infection.

 

According to the survey, the most popular online shopping items for families are children's toys, accounting for 60%; followed by toy-related clothing and accessories, accounting for 59%; and technological electronic toys account for 54%.

 

 

When it comes to the choice of online purchasing locations, Amazon and AliExpress are their "permanent camps", with 89% of households saying they would buy through these two platforms because there are more choices and the prices are relatively cheap on these two platforms; 12% of households would choose to buy from online retail toy stores.

 

Consumers' biggest concern about buying toys is the fear of buying imitations, because the safety of imitations cannot be guaranteed and may pose a threat to children. 12% of households said they have bought imitations, and 13% of households are not sure whether their toys are imitations.

 

Therefore, when selecting products, sellers should also pay attention to the quality and relevant qualifications of toy products, so as to avoid damaging the store's reputation due to quality problems.

 

The report analyzes the main type of Spanish children as "soulful dreamers", who are mainly interested in doll games, accessories, stuffed animals, crafts, clothing and imitation toys.

 

According to the research report, understanding the types of local children can also help sellers and companies prepare different types of toys for different regions, thereby improving consumer satisfaction and product sales.
