AliExpress Russia launches new feature that allows buyers to merge sellers’ orders

AliExpress Russia has launched a new feature that allows buyers to merge orders from different foreign sellers into one package for faster delivery.

Buyers can find on the platform "Together - Faster", a feature suitable for small, cheap goods that are sent using simple delivery methods and usually take longer than large packages. Consolidating goods in the market application increases the value of the shipment and improves its delivery status, in some cases reducing delivery time by two to three times .

The feature is already available for 20 million foreign products, which buyers can find through in-app search using the “Together – Faster” filter.

At checkout, the feature shows buyers how many items they need to purchase within an hour so they can be combined into one package and sent expedited.

If the buyer experiences delays in such a package, he will receive compensation in the form of a coupon for 100 rubles. If one of the sellers delays the shipment, the item will remain in the upgraded status and will also be shipped using the expedited method.

The product director of AliExpress Russia said, " Integration is an opportunity to optimize logistics, which is mainly for the convenience of customers. With the introduction of new features, buyers can be sure that the goods will be delivered faster. " He also pointed out that based on the performance during the testing period , the feature is popular among users because they can more conveniently order multiple small products and receive them faster.

AliExpress's development momentum in Russia cannot be underestimated. According to data from April to September 2021, the global audience of AliExpress's social e-commerce in Russia alone has reached 23.6 million. In half a year, the total number of orders generated by social e-commerce reached 10.5 million, which accounts for approximately 7.5% of AliExpress's total orders. Social commerce accounts for 6% of the company's turnover.

As one of the important local e-commerce platforms, AliExpress has also been increasing its investment in various infrastructure such as local logistics. It is expected to occupy a larger market share in the future, and relevant sellers can also use it as a reference for layout.
