Monthly payments to Amazon exceed 35% of turnover, sellers complain that the fees are too high...

Recently, when browsing the official forum of Amazon Europe, the editor noticed that many sellers complained that the fees charged by Amazon were too high, which greatly compressed the sellers' profit margins.

A seller named "Attic_Home" said that they earn about $10,000 a month on Amazon, and everything is going well, but recently noticed that Amazon has charged them higher and higher fees in the past few months. For example, in the most recent week, they completed 3,000 sales, but when they checked "Payment Payment", they found that Amazon's fee was more than 35%.

Attic_Home is quite confused by this, as he thinks the normal fee should be around 15%. If Amazon continues to charge high fees, he may consider closing the Amazon store and only selling on eBay or their own website.

Under this post, many sellers also think that Amazon charges them too much. Some sellers said that this is robbery in broad daylight, and Amazon's fees almost eat up his monthly sales; others believe that Amazon will only charge sellers more fees greedily.

There are some more reasonable sellers among them. Seller "Neil" believes that when you feel that the fees charged by Amazon are too high, the easiest and quickest way to check is to check the payment report and then look at the fee details. A large part of it may be that "Attic_Home" did not take into account the Asian FBA fees.

Some sellers believe that Amazon's current fees are at a normal level, especially for some FBA sellers . Seller " DallasKnight " said that it is interesting that many people completely ignore the cost of product transportation and packaging when considering Amazon fees associated with using FBA. If the seller sells and ships on his own website, the transportation costs alone may account for 30% or more of the total turnover.

The two sides have different opinions on whether Amazon's fees are too high. But it is undeniable that with the sharp increase in production and shipping costs this year, sellers' profit margins are being squeezed. In the absence of changes in Amazon's charging rules, sellers can only find other ways to make profits from the perspectives of product selection or pricing.
