Attention! Multiple Amazon sellers received violation notices after listing products as collectibles

As early as a year ago, many Amazon sellers used the "black technology" of marking products as collectibles to avoid the system's monitoring of product prices in order to avoid being detected by the Amazon system when the product price increased. With Amazon's increased crackdown on various violations and stricter supervision of "collectibles", this method seems to no longer work.

Recently , when browsing the official forum of Amazon Europe, the editor found that many sellers in different categories have posted that they have received violation notifications from Amazon after marking their products as collectibles .

First, a seller named "pudding_n_pie" listed a limited edition CD product as a collector's item a few months ago, packed it in a jewelry box, and attached a bonus poster. Now, he has received a warning from Amazon, saying that his product does not match the description and violates relevant policies. "pudding_n_pie" is very puzzled.

Another book seller named " GUY " said he received a product violation notice from Amazon after marking three out-of-print books as collectibles. " GUY " doesn't care if the product listing will be removed, but he is worried that the violation will put the health of his account at risk , but he doesn't know what to do about it .

Under these two posts, the editor noticed that other sellers said in the comments that they had encountered similar situations. Some sellers are checking their product lists to find out the products that have been listed as collectibles and delete them because they are afraid that similar things will happen to them one day.

As early as a few months ago, European sellers received a notice from Amazon requiring them to provide detailed descriptions of the collectible aspects of the products listed as collectibles and prove that it is reasonable to list the products as collectibles. With Amazon's strict supervision of collectibles, this is no longer a safe haven for some sellers to evade price inspections.

In short, if you want to develop long-term on the Amazon platform, it is still very important to operate in compliance. Don't take shortcuts and exploit policy loopholes, because you will end up hurting yourself!
