The number of brands on Amazon US has exceeded 100,000

At this year's Amazon Accelerate 2021 conference for third-party sellers , Amazon revealed that so far this year, more than 100,000 brands have sold on Amazon in the United States , and brand sales increased 60% year-on-year in the 12 months ending June 30.

 

Third-party sellers account for 60% of Amazon’s overall sales , and most of them are international sales. A representative seller said: “ Without Amazon, expanding to international locations would be more difficult because we would have to have a distributor in each country to manage our products . Amazon makes this process much easier .

 

At the conference, Amazon also said it would launch a series of new tools, such as a " Search Analytics Dashboard " that will help sellers registered in the Brand Registry gain insights from the search performance of their products.

 

With this tool, sellers can be provided with a large amount of anonymous data to better understand customers ' interests and shopping choices for their products. This information will help sellers optimize their product information, inform inventory planning, plan their product development roadmap, and grow their business on and off Amazon .

 

There are some other features:

 

Amazon Customer Service : Provides sellers who fulfill their own orders with the option to have Amazon manage customer inquiries, refunds, and returns for self-fulfilled orders . Amazon will provide this service for free or at a discount, depending on the seller's customer contact volume. This feature is currently open to all US sellers.

 

Global Listing : Enables sellers to list products once on Amazon and sell them globally. Instead of managing products individually in Amazon’s stores, sellers can replicate their product listings across multiple international stores with just a few clicks. Sellers will be able to view their listings from a globalized set of pages and views . This feature is currently in beta and will be available to all US sellers in early 2022.

 

In addition, a local sales feature has been launched, which allows customers to purchase products from sellers and pick them up on the same day at the seller’s local store or choose fast local delivery.

 

The launch of various new features from Amazon is also worth looking forward to.
