Amazon’s new announcement: products that do not meet the guidelines will not be searchable!

Early this morning, Amazon released a new announcement to remind all sellers that for product submissions, titles must comply with the listed guidelines (sellers can check the relevant guidelines on the Amazon backend themselves) .

Additionally, products sold under any of the product types listed below will not be searchable if the product title contains restricted keywords or if the product title does not meet these guidelines .

The affected product types include :

Beauty, health and personal care, cleaning products, pet products, consumer electronics, food and beverages, party supplies, luggage, alcoholic beverages, gifts and occasions, paper products, home, baby products, baby sleds and e-cigarettes.

It can be seen that the affected categories are very wide, including food and beverages, household items, cleaning products and baby products in people’s daily lives. Among them, baby products have always been products that Amazon has very strict review, and all sellers must pay attention to them.

Sellers can learn more about which ASINs are affected and the expiration dates in the Product Quality Dashboard , or by selecting Inventory > Manage Inventory > Product Quality Dashboard on the Seller Platform . If items that do not meet the title requirements are removed from the search, sellers will be able to find them under " Fix Your Product ."

Previously, Amazon US issued an announcement stating that if some banned keywords are used in the seller’s search terms, the ASIN may be banned, and Amazon will take certain punishment measures against the seller’s account.

Among the prohibited keywords are: your brand or other brand names; temporary claims, such as "new" or "on sale"; subjective claims, such as "best," "cheapest," or "amazing"; profanity or abusive terms; and ASINs.

Therefore, sellers must not include keywords prohibited by Amazon in the title, otherwise the product will not be searchable, which will seriously affect product sales!

In order to regulate platform sales, Amazon will frequently issue announcements. Here, the editor reminds all sellers to abide by the platform’s policies and rules and not to be careless and cause unnecessary losses!
