Recently, TikTok has reached a global partnership with Publicis Groupe, a French advertiser and the parent company of China Media Exchange, China's largest advertising media purchasing group, to help cross-border e-commerce brands with short video social commerce marketing.
As TikTok's first commercial agency partner, Publicis Groupe received special treatment from TikTok in the cooperation agreement , including testing upcoming commercial products or creative programs. They can participate in a new holiday shopping season plan called " Community Commerce Sprint " .
On the other hand, Publicis will provide TikTok with consumer behavior data and analysis , including data supported by WARC ( World Administrative Radio Conference) research , to help TikTok optimize its media products .
“ TikTok made me buy it ” is a trending topic on the app, where users showcase the things they ’ve discovered and purchased on TikTok , with videos under the hashtag generating more than 3.8 billion views to date . In China, Douyin already has advanced social commerce capabilities. Last year, it generated $26 billion in sales of cosmetics and apparel — the equivalent of Iceland’s GDP, according to Bloomberg .
As TikTok's influence continues to grow around the world , many brands have begun to try to use TikTok to promote their products. Publicis Groupe has taken a fancy to this. After the cooperation is reached , Publicis Groupe's clients can directly access TikTok's internal experts to better promote their brands on the TikTok app . According to TikTok, Publicis' clients "will receive cross-functional support and social business best practice guidance from TikTok's professional team ."
Publicis Groupe said : “TikTok entered the public eye almost overnight , and its popularity and social business model caught our attention. The combination of short video content and commerce creates huge commercial value . We are very happy to cooperate with TikTok and look forward to this cooperation to provide Publicis Groupe with a brand new development opportunity . ”
TikTok said: "TikTok's social media capabilities are obvious to all . Products can go viral and sell out quickly on TikTok . By working with global commercial media such as Publicis Groupe, we are providing resources to brands on TikTok to help them better use TikTok to develop social commerce . "
