Friends who are opening a shop or renovating their home may be familiar with blowers. Because they can speed up air circulation, some small blowers are often used to purify the air and dry carpets. When choosing a blower, you must pay attention to the product quality to avoid potential safety risks.
Yesterday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC), Health Canada and Intertex LL announced a joint recall of approximately 29,500 Intertex LLC B-Air blower products. The recall involves the B-Air VP-33 model under the brand , which is an indoor use, wired blower with the B-Air logo located on the vent and product label. Products produced before January 2018 are affected by this recall.
The detailed information of the specific products is as follows:
The CPSC said that the capacitors in these affected VP-33 units could overheat during operation , posing a potential fire risk . Intertex has received five reports of capacitors in blowers overheating and causing fire-related property losses totaling approximately $75,000 , with no reports of injuries .
According to the CPSC, these blowers were sold at Home Depot and Menards stores, as well as on Amazon and Home Depot shopping platforms. Purchasers of the products should immediately stop using the recalled blowers and contact Intertex LLC to obtain a repair kit that includes a free replacement capacitor and installation instructions.
It is currently difficult to find information on the sale of this brand of blowers on the Amazon platform, but different models of products are still on sale on the Home Depot platform.
As a manufacturing powerhouse, "Made in China" products are distributed all over the world. Recently, there have been frequent reports of "Made in China" product recalls. The editor found on the CPSC website that among the seven recalled products announced by the CPSC on August 18, four of them were "Made in China".
The editor hereby reminds you that product safety issues cannot be ignored. When operating similar products, you must pay attention to improving product quality. This is not only to avoid potential business risks, but also to win glory for "Made in China". recall Product Safety |
