Albertsons launches membership subscription service!

Recently, Albertsons, the second largest supermarket chain in the United States, launched a membership subscription service, Fresh Pass , which is similar to Amazon's Prime. It is reported that the membership fee of this service is US$99 . After paying the fee, members can enjoy membership benefits and free delivery services . The cost of its subscription service is slightly lower than that of Amazon. Albertson will apply this membership service to its APP and provide consumers with inventory information of goods.

Albertsons was founded by Jeo in 1939 and is headquartered in Idaho. It owns Albertsons, Jewel-Osco and Shaws , among others. Each of its own brands has annual sales of more than $1 billion.

Albertsons changed its traditional distribution method and adopted high-quality services. It is now one of the largest grocery supermarkets in the United States. There are more than 2,200 chain supermarkets in 35 states in the West, Midwest and South of the United States. In addition to supermarkets, Albertsons also involves many fields including pharmacies and fast food.

In the United States, people like to compare Albertsons with Amazon and Walmart. Of course, Albertsons is still a little "lacking" in strength and has not been able to achieve a surprising reversal. In the early years, Albertsons once tried to sell its company due to business difficulties.

In the United States, well-known supermarket chains include Amazon and Walmart, as well as Costco and Kroger. In the competition for localization in the United States, although Albertsons has not surpassed Walmart, it is not inferior in overall strength. It has also always been at the forefront of the list of the "100 Hottest Snack Shops" in the United States.

With the continuous influx of new competitors in the consumer market, the nature of competition is also changing. Consumers have a better understanding of the previous supermarket chains, and the diversified choices have made the market competition more intense. After Amazon launched the Prime service, major retailers began to follow suit. Although Amazon has been in trouble, it has no intention of "giving way" to the later ones. The further intensification of market competition will make Albertsons have new actions after launching the subscription service.
