The recall involves a reclining chair, involving approximately 155,000 units.

This lounge chair has a white frame and covering fabric, and comes in two colors: pure blue and pure green. It is manufactured by a company based in Shanghai and is sold on multiple e-commerce platforms for about US$20.

The reason for the recall is that the recliner may collapse unexpectedly, and if the fingers are caught in the metal folding joints, it will cause amputation, laceration and pinching. So far, three accident reports have been received , and users have suffered amputation or laceration of their fingers due to being caught in the metal joints.

After receiving the report, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission urgently recalled the recliner, advising consumers to immediately stop using the recalled hanging chair, cut the fabric of the chair to make it unusable, and contact the buyer to return it and obtain a full refund.
