Direct access to new products and trends from overseas, Tmall International Overseas Direct Purchase officially upgraded to "Global Exploration"

On October 26 , Tmall Global’s overseas direct purchase business was officially upgraded and a new brand “Global Exploration” was launched. The official purchasing team located in six major purchasing centers in Japan, South Korea, Europe, etc. directly purchases imported top products such as whiskey, niche perfumes, trendy toys, digital technology, etc. from around the world and mails them directly to consumers by special plane.

 

At present, Tmall Global has stocked more than 4 million imported goods in hundreds of overseas warehouses around the world . There are more than 3,000 types of whiskeys from all six major production areas in Scotland, Japan, Ireland and other countries of origin; from first-line big-name perfumes to niche salon perfumes, there are more than 10,000 perfumes in stock worldwide, comparable to the "Global Perfume Museum".

 

 

At the same time, before Tmall Double 11 , " Global Exploration" welcomed the official entry of SPO (Shop Premium Outlets) , the largest outlet shopping group in the United States. More than 1,500 big brands brought local outlet discount prices, and more than 100,000 outlet products were launched simultaneously around the world .

 

"We hope that through the cross-border direct mail method of 'Global Exploration', a large number of global trend products and niche specialty products can enter the Chinese market faster and more efficiently, allowing consumers to explore the world's good things and experience overseas lifestyles without leaving home." Tmall International General Manager Dong Zhenzhen said at the brand launch conference.

 

Consumers can buy big-name bags, shoes, clothing, jewelry, home furnishings and many other categories, such as Stuart Weitzman's over-the-knee boots , high-end denim brand 7 for mankind , and "the king of women's shoes" Salvatore Ferragamo, etc. Popular products are available at a minimum discount of 40%. It is worth looking forward to that SPO's most famous flagship store in New York, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, will broadcast live every night from Double 11 to Black House, taking consumers to shop online.

Tmall Global has three major import models: direct purchase, platform, and direct sales . " Global Exploration " is an upgrade of the overseas direct purchase business. This model builds a digital and flexible supply chain system to achieve sufficient supply of massive new products and rely on the six major global procurement centers and direct mail logistics network to allow overseas products to enter the nearest warehouse, be quickly put on the shelves, and be delivered directly to China by special plane.

 

In the cross-border import market, people's consumption needs are evolving. "Cross-border consumption has entered a period of personalized development, and consumers are more keen to explore and discover new and unique overseas products . " According to Dong Zhenzhen, the "Global Exploration" business was born and developed rapidly under this demand background. So far, the number of brands has exceeded 12,000 , and the number of products has increased 60 times in three years .

 

Not only are there great products, the new brand "Global Exploration" channel has been revamped and upgraded, making it more fresh and fun to shop.

 

When consumers search for "Global Exploration" on Taobao or Tmall International on their mobile phones and enter the channel, they will find that unlike traditional shelf-like displays, what comes into view is an interactive interface that allows users to slide their fingers to explore and browse good products, niche brand stories, global culture and lifestyle content. They can plant seeds while shopping overseas.

In fact, in order to serve import consumers together with cross-border merchants, Tmall Global announced a new business strategy in September this year, focusing on " good products, good services, and good shopping " . The brand upgrade and content-oriented attempt of "Global Exploration" is precisely to better serve senior overseas shopping consumers.

 

As a niche treasure brand excavator, in the past year, more than 300 overseas brands have successfully tested the waters in the Chinese market through the "overseas direct purchase" model of Global Exploration , and then opened overseas flagship stores on Tmall International. So far, Tmall International has attracted more than 39,000 overseas brands from more than 90 countries and regions around the world to settle in, covering more than 7,000 categories.
