In recent months, Amazon sellers have been troubled by brand abuse. Problems with brand agent lawyers, copycat sales, copyright complaints, etc. may all be suspected of abusing and causing the brand to be removed.
In September, brand abuse broke out in a concentrated manner. Such problems even implicated related brands and accounts, triggering a chain reaction. Sellers who were found to have abused their brands began to go through a long process of appealing and changing lawyers, hoping to get their brands back.
But last night, some sellers were surprised to find that the brand that was found to be abusive was suddenly restored. Amazon’s notification email said that it had previously informed the seller that its brand had been removed from the brand registry. Amazon has reviewed the brand and determined that the brand is now eligible for (Amazon) brand registration and has restored the brand.
As of today, more and more sellers have checked their accounts and confirmed that the removed brands have indeed been restored.
“Amazon’s brand abuse issue has been automatically resolved, which is the best news in the middle of the night.” “I saw many brands automatically recovering, and when I opened the email, they really recovered.” “I also checked the brand registry and it turned out to be miraculously back.” "We automatically restored several yesterday, except for one brand that was removed at the end of August." "I was still changing lawyers, but the brand came back on its own. I am impressed."
What did these brand-reinstated sellers do to be released?
One seller said that he did not file an appeal and the brand was automatically restored. "I was originally planning to change my attorney and appeal to the service provider after the Fall Member Day, but now it has been automatically restored before I can do so."
However, many sellers have already appealed and even changed lawyers. Some sellers have changed lawyers but still failed in their appeals. When they were about to change lawyers again, their brands were automatically restored. It is hard to say that such a large number of brands have been restored because of the successful appeals of sellers, the effective change of lawyers, or the efforts of service providers. It is more like Amazon has relaxed its audit requirements or released a batch of brands that were previously accidentally damaged.
However, among the removed brands that have been restored, only some accounts have restored brand functions and can use brand tools normally; other accounts are still in a state of brand abuse, for example, multiple functions such as user management permissions are restricted, and authorization cannot be canceled.
Currently, only a portion of the brands that have been removed have been restored. Some sellers’ brands have been removed since April, and they have appealed four or five times so far. They have tried various methods but have not been successful, and they are not on Amazon’s amnesty list. However, it is not ruled out that Amazon will refresh the abuse removal list in batches, and sellers whose brands have not yet been restored can continue to pay attention. |
