FashionValet is Malaysia's first and hottest online fashion store, offering a wide range of ready-to-wear, womenswear, accessories and handbags, aiming to bring the latest fashion trends to your doorstep. About FashionValet FashionValet was established in 2010, FashionValet has offices in Malaysia and Singapore. FashionValet proudly carries the best of Malaysia's local brands and designers, striving to bring you the hottest brands in Asia. Founding Background Vivy Yusof, the founder of Fashion Valet, is a Malaysian. Young and fashionable, she is not only a mother of two children, but also one of Malaysia’s Internet celebrities with a large number of fans. The reason why she created the FashionValet e-commerce website can be traced back to when she was studying in London. One time, she and her boyfriend Anuar went shopping on a rainy day. They visited one store after another and were very tired. The cumbersome and inconvenient shopping in physical stores gave her the idea of bringing online shopping to Malaysia. When she experienced the traffic jams, crowded parking spaces and the single selection of online products in physical retail, she became more determined to establish an online fashion e-commerce platform. She founded FashionValet in 2010 with her then-boyfriend, now husband Fadzarudin Shah Anuar, using their savings and loans to raise just RM100,000 (US$24,000). develop In 2012, FashionValet beat 40 competitors to win investment from Malaysian Internet company MY EG. In the following years, they received a series of investments from Silicon Valley-based Elixir Capital and Japan's leading online fashion mall Zozotown. Now they have received Series C funding from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment fund of the Malaysian government. In the years since its launch, the platform has attracted a large number of consumers and successfully obtained financial support. Today, FashionValet has become a well-funded startup in Southeast Asia, with approximately 438,000 monthly visits and multiple physical stores across Malaysia. |
