Hundreds of Amazon accounts have been blocked due to association, and some sellers have chosen to withdraw

This year, China's cross-border sellers have encountered "an industry shock that has not been seen in a decade." Starting in April, the top sellers had their accounts blocked one after another, and then there was another wave of related crazes. This series of actions by Amazon caught the sellers off guard.

Some sellers said that their accounts were inexplicably linked and blocked on three websites, with hundreds of thousands of goods and funds in them; others said that their European accounts, which they had worked hard to run for several years, were linked to their American accounts, which had been blocked for several years, and were then suspended from selling... The reasons for being linked are different, but the consequences are basically the same. It is basically difficult to appeal against these accounts that have been blocked due to association.

At present, the domestic account suspension wave is still continuing. The surviving sellers are trembling, fearing that one day Amazon will burn them . The situation of Chinese sellers is so difficult, and the situation of British sellers far away in Europe does not seem to be optimistic either.

The editor saw in the Amazon UK Seller Forum that hundreds of British sellers have been deactivated by Amazon because their accounts were linked to another unfamiliar account. A user named Giant_Kitten1 posted a post hoping that the relevant person in charge would notice their situation and provide help.

Giant_Kitten1 said that in the past month, many Amazon seller accounts were suspended by Amazon for being associated with another account. Amazon asked these sellers to provide evidence to prove that they were not associated with other accounts, which was obviously impossible. Some sellers whose accounts were blocked had to lay off employees because they could not afford to pay their employees' salaries, and some sellers have chosen to quit Amazon.

Giant_Kitten1 also said that relevant EU officials are helping them solve the problem, while relevant British officials have not taken any action.

William_Irene, a British seller , received an email on July 13, informing Amazon that his store had been linked to another account he had never heard of. William_Irene tried to appeal several times, but to no avail, and only received an automatic reply from Amazon refusing to restore the account.

Some sellers received an email from Amazon: "We believe that an unauthorized party may have accessed your Amazon.co.uk account." Therefore, most sellers believe that this large-scale association ban was not caused by the sellers, but was a security issue with Amazon.

What distresses sellers is that no one has noticed the situation they are currently facing, and no one has provided them with truly effective solutions. They hope to get help from the relevant persons in charge.

After an account is linked, it can only be recovered through appeal, but this is not an easy task. A British seller said that he had waited patiently for 14 months after his account was blocked due to association , but still failed to appeal.

Today, Amazon is making drastic changes. For sellers who want to develop on Amazon in the long term, it is still very important to operate in compliance.
