As of 21:00 in the evening , the passengers trapped on Line 5 were rescued one after another by firefighters from the Zhengzhou Fire Brigade.

According to news released by Zhengzhou, at 18:10, Zhengzhou Metro issued an order to stop operating the entire network, organized forces, and evacuated the people. A total of more than 500 people were evacuated, of whom 12 died after rescue efforts failed and 5 were injured.

Yesterday, a netizen posted a message asking for help, saying that the water level was as high as 1.7 meters on the roadside at the intersection of Jinguan Road and Wenhua Road , and more than a dozen people were trapped for several hours and had difficulty breathing, and requested help to evacuate.
