Amazon "plays dirty tricks"? Official copycat sales reappear, and sellers are completely unaware

In the eyes of many Amazon sellers, Amazon Self-Operation is a rogue and authoritative existence. Many times, sellers can only suffer losses in silence.

Speaking of being copied by Amazon’s own sales, I believe sellers have heard of it. Previously, sellers have been copied by Amazon’s own sales, but the problem was mostly solved by the sellers “admitting defeat”.

Recently, a seller discovered that his product was inexplicably being copied and sold without him noticing the whole process.

It is understood that the seller's products have been on the German site for half a year, but he suddenly found that they were being copied on the UK site. Although the copycat store is named Amazon UK, no relevant information about Amazon's own business was found. After clicking on the details page, it was found that the store name was displayed as Amazon UK Branch, and the product's ASIN and listing were exactly the same as those on the German site.

The seller said he was very confused and couldn't figure out whether he was being copied by Amazon officials or by a third-party seller.

In this regard, sellers who have had the same experience shared their experiences

Seller A: Some products with low sales volume are more likely to be copied, and even the source of Amazon UK goods is questionable.

Seller B: This is Amazon’s official store, and the products were also returned by customers.

Seller C: There is nothing I can do when encountering this kind of situation. If I want to save the listing, I can only lower the price to compete.

Previously, a seller’s product was copied from the US site to the Australian site. Because it was completely different from the product description, it received all negative reviews, resulting in the seller’s suspension from the US site. It must be said that the seller’s experience was extremely miserable.

For sellers, Amazon's own business is the biggest "rival". The cost reduction and traffic diversion are just these two advantages, which can get rid of a lot of sellers, and the sales of third-party sellers will naturally drop significantly.

Facing the powerful backing of Amazon, most sellers will end up in failure. In the eyes of sellers, this is a war with no chance of winning. Facing such behavior of Amazon, they have never stopped accusing and resisting.

Overall, the increasing number of platform rules and the expansion of self-operated brands will inevitably have a significant impact on third-party sellers. In this situation, sellers must be vigilant and improve product competitiveness in order to have enough ability and confidence to fight back.
