4 new logistics companies added! Shopee Japan expands sellers’ logistics options

In recent years, with the rapid growth of the e-commerce market, the number of express delivery services handled in Japan has increased year by year, exceeding 3.5 billion in 2012 and now exceeding 4.3 billion.

For Japanese sellers, Japan's logistics channels are not very optimistic, which has caused headaches for a large number of sellers. As the largest e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, Shopee Japan has always received many sellers' demands for improving the logistics convenience of cross-border e-commerce sales.

Therefore, in order to meet the needs of sellers on the one hand, and to improve the platform's operating efficiency , shorten product delivery time, and reduce operating costs on the other hand, four new logistics companies, including FedEx , DHL, Sagawa Express, and Yamato Transport , will be added to the store management system (Seller Center) of Shopee Japan .

Starting from June 2021, Shopee Japan will add FedEx, DHL, Sagawa Express and Yamato Transport to the cross-border e-commerce product delivery network available to sellers, expanding logistics options for sellers and optimizing them according to market and products . Sellers can choose shipping options to serve their orders faster and more efficiently , while reducing negative reviews caused by slow logistics .

With the addition of four new logistics companies, sales on Shopee Japan can be delivered seamlessly and efficiently in Japan and Southeast Asia . In addition, when opening a store on Shopee, sellers can also reduce initial costs (time, energy, and labor costs of selecting logistics companies) by choosing courier companies that they have used in the past.

This expansion of courier companies and options is in response to sellers' desire to use overseas courier services as well as domestic courier services . With the addition of new courier companies, including Japan Post and ECMS, which were previously available , sellers now have a total of 6 courier companies to choose from.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the demand for EC is accelerating, but on the other hand, competition among EC platforms is also fierce. Especially in cross-border e-commerce, faster delivery speed is an important factor in improving consumer satisfaction. This move will greatly enhance the value of Shopee as a platform.
