Boohoo's sales in the latest quarter increased by 32% to £486.1 million

Foreign media reported that thanks to the gradual relaxation of the blockade and growing demand , Boohoo, which owns a number of retailers including PrettyLittleThing and Karen Millen, recently reported that its revenue increased by 32% last quarter.

Boohoo said its revenue rose 91% in two years to £486.1m in the three months to May 31 , from £367.8m a year earlier. This follows the integration of high street brands Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton into its platform and the launch of its new Debenhams digital department store.

The UK and the US are the most prominent markets for Boohoo, with sales up 95% and 157% respectively . Boohoo Group has said it expects to create a "substantial" number of jobs in the second quarter of this year as its new Daventry distribution site opens soon.

This year, Boohoo has maintained a very rapid development. In January, Boohoo acquired the Debenhams brand for 55 million pounds, and in February, it acquired the Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton brands from Arcadia's administrators for 25.2 million pounds.

It said the former Arcadia brand had been successfully integrated into its multi-brand business and that it had launched a new Debenhams online department store.

Boohoo is a British online fashion retailer founded in 2006. The online retail platform boohoo.com focuses on developing its own brand clothing, covering more than 36,000 products and selling new, fashionable and low-priced women's clothing.

During the epidemic, Boohoo's performance grew rapidly, and it continued to develop its online business and expand its brand categories. As of December 31, 2020, Boohoo's sales in the fourth quarter reached 661 million pounds, an increase of 40% compared with sales of 856.9 million pounds in 2019.

In addition, Boohoo has acquired several high street brands . In June 2020, Boohoo announced the acquisition of the brands and websites of the high street chain Oasis and Warehouse for £5.25 million. Last year, the number of "active" customers shopping on Boohoo's website increased by 28% to 18 million.

The main sales force of Boohoo platform is people aged 16-40, mainly selling clothing, shoes, accessories and beauty products. On average, 100-200 new products are launched every day, far exceeding fast fashion giants such as Zara. At the same time, prices are strictly controlled to establish a foothold in the mass market with high cost performance .
