Amazon launches "FBA liquidation" program
Amazon US announced the launch of the "FBA Liquidation" program, which allows sellers to return overstocked/returned inventory to recover certain costs and reduce storage costs. The program will charge FBA liquidation fees on June 1. The "FBA Liquidation" program will provide sellers with an alternative method to handle or recycle inventory. Note: Once a liquidation order is confirmed, it cannot be canceled.
Shopee prohibits sellers from using official content in violation of regulations
The Shopee platform prohibits sellers from using Shopee official content in their stores in violation of regulations. From June 1, 2021, the Shopee platform will check whether sellers use Shopee official content in their stores in violation of regulations, and the stores of violating sellers will be frozen.
Japan Post handled 15.2 billion pieces of mail in fiscal 2020 , down 6.8% year-on-year
Recently, Japan Post Holdings announced its results for the fiscal year 2020 ending March 31, 2021. This fiscal year, Japan Post's profits fell for the first time in four years, down 13.5%. Driven by e-commerce and online consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yu-Pack mail handled by Japan Post increased by 11.9% year-on-year to about 1.1 billion pieces, of which the processing volume of Yu-Packet increased by 16.1% year-on-year to about 500 million pieces.
British fintech company "PaySend" received $125 million in Series B+ financing
On May 28, TechCrunch reported that British fintech company PaySend has received $125 million in Series B+ funding. This round of financing was led by One Peak, with participation from Infravia Growth Capital, Hermes GPE Innovation Fund and existing investors Plug and Play. This round of financing will be used to accelerate the development of the platform and continue to expand the geographical scope of the company's business. Nearly 100 countries added to Amazon's seller list
Recently, Amazon has expanded the list of countries/regions that accept sellers to register to sell on Amazon to 188 countries. The company has added 85 new countries, mainly in Central Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa.
Now, sellers from almost all countries in the world can sell goods on Amazon. Only countries with strict sanctions, such as North Korea and Cuba, are still excluded from Amazon’s list of approved sellers.
DHL stops accepting shipments weighing more than 30kg to the US
DHL has released the latest freight notice, which has made specific restrictions on the weight of a single piece of goods sent to the United States. According to the notice from Hong Kong DHL, starting from May 26, it will stop accepting single boxes of goods exceeding 30kg to the United States. Single boxes of goods below 30kg will not be affected, and goods sent to other countries can also be shipped normally. Mainland DHL also notified that it will not accept single pieces of goods weighing more than 30kg, and it will take effect on May 28.
