In order to more intuitively show the overall market outlook of Southeast Asia to the audience, Shopee, which participated in the exhibition for the fourth time, moved the entire live broadcast room to Yiwu this year, and invited foreign anchors from all over the world to demonstrate how to "cross-border seeding" on the spot; at the same time, the booth set up a 360-degree seller portrait area, application experience area, etc., with a diversified and youthful booth atmosphere, vividly presenting the main characteristics of the current Southeast Asian market; and the traditional closed investment promotion meeting, which is essential for the exhibition, directly hits the future development trend of cross-border e-commerce:


Shopee Live's cross-border live broadcast room is full of vitality and showcases the charm of social interaction: With the iteration of mobile technology and changes in consumption habits, Southeast Asian consumers are no longer satisfied with simple buying and selling transactions in recent years, but instead pursue a more social and interactive shopping experience. Shopee Live, which creates a "watch and buy" entertainment gameplay for consumers, is in line with this experience demand.


At this exhibition, Shopee specially set up a cross-border live broadcast room , where several small-language anchors from Shopee KOL Service ( SKS) demonstrated on site how to quickly "plant grass" for Southeast Asian consumers, attracting a large number of people to stop and watch. Although the audience could not understand the local language, they could feel the anchor's enthusiasm through the glass and see the likes and orders from Southeast Asian consumers through the screen, which strengthened their confidence in the hot sales of domestic products overseas.


Cross-border seller portraits, accurately combing vertical overseas links : In recent years, more types of sellers have begun to be eager to try overseas business. Cross-border e-commerce platforms must have the ability to accurately grasp the needs of different sellers and provide customized services in the supply-side construction and incubation links. To this end, Shopee created a 360-degree cartoon seller portrait on site, using easy-to-understand " cross-border keywords" to accurately show Shopee's segmented differences and pain points for various sellers, and deeply analyze and provide customized services and operation plans.


Closed investment promotion conference, a sneak peek at potential categories throughout the year: Shopee, together with its partner Lianlian Pay, held a special closed investment promotion conference in Yiwu, where the platform's investment promotion, brand and operation teams shared practical knowledge on going global to Southeast Asia, and invited senior big sellers to share their experience of explosive sales on site. As a barometer of China's foreign trade economy, Yiwu took the lead in achieving recovery and growth in the post-epidemic era, and also became a new highlight of domestic and foreign trade development.


In this context, Shopee was invited to attend the 2021 World Digital Trade Conference and delivered a speech on the spot, deeply analyzing the trend of domestic products going overseas from the perspective of a cross-border e-commerce platform, and detailing how Shopee applies localization strategies to build different types of overseas links, bringing growth opportunities to various types of overseas sellers.
