Attention sellers: Registration for Amazon Japan Prime Day is about to end!

Attention sellers: Registration for Amazon Japan Prime Day is about to end!

Every year, the biggest promotion that sellers look forward to the most is Prime Day. Last year, due to the epidemic, Prime Day was postponed to October, but this year Amazon allowed sellers to start signing up early...

Yien.com learned that Amazon Japan recently released an announcement on its seller forum, stating that it has begun accepting applications for Prime Day limited-time sales.

Of course, there are restrictions on applications. Amazon stated that sellers need to apply for Prime Day limited-time sales before April 23, 2021, and applications cannot be submitted after the deadline.

Last year, Japan's Prime Day was launched the earliest, and soon after it started, many sellers sent out screenshots of the order volume. Some sellers had received more than 3,000 orders within a few hours, a volume that made small sellers envious.

Last year we had such a good order volume, but will this year's Prime Day order volume be good? I guess the answer can only be revealed on Member Day. However, sellers also have requirements when applying for Prime Day limited-time sales on the Japanese site. The following are the conditions that sellers need to meet to participate in Prime Day↓

1. The discount is 20% or more (the discount should be lower than the lowest website price in the past 30 days and must be equal to or lower than the lowest price since January 1, 2021;

2. Sufficient inventory during the sales period;

3. Product rating is greater than or equal to 3 stars;

4. Comply with product registration rules, image requirements, and Amazon listing service rules and guidelines. Amazon may cancel scheduled sales for products that do not meet image guidelines;

5. The same product can only be sold once a week. If multiple applications are submitted, the timed sale of the product may be cancelled without notice.

Sellers need to note that products participating in Prime Day must be delivered to Amazon distribution centers before June 13, 2021. If the deadline is delayed, normal sales on Prime Day may not be guaranteed.

In addition, Amazon also announced the specific costs of participating in this year's Prime Day, as shown in the figure below↓

Previously, Amazon sent an email to sellers stating that this year's Prime Day will be held as scheduled. However, many foreign media have recently stated that Prime Day will be held in June. Judging from the current situation, it is unlikely to be postponed. However, when it will be held depends on my brother-in-law's mood...

Although the time of Membership Day is uncertain, sellers must also prepare for Membership Day in advance and be fully prepared for explosive orders. We look forward to all sellers achieving excellent results on Prime Day this year!
