Wish platform said that there will be new changes to the demo video , which will be released on the Wish iOS app . At the same time , the merchant platform's "Demo Video" page has also been updated, and ProductBoost subsidy budgets will be provided to selected sellers .
The platform announced that in order to better support sellers to upload demonstration videos and showcase products to global users, Wish has made the following updates to the demonstration video function:
Starting March 29, 2021, Pacific Time , product demonstration videos provided by sellers and approved by Wish will be displayed to global users through the product's "Details" page on the Wish iOS app (only displayed to some iOS app users on March 29, 2021, Pacific Time, and will cover all users in the next few days ).
To better support sellers in uploading demonstration videos, the platform has also made some updates to the "Demo Video" page on the seller platform.
A new "Correct Demonstration" tab has been added to the "Demonstration Video" page , which provides a lot of guidance on how to make high-quality demonstration videos, which will help sellers make their products more attractive to users.
It is worth noting that sellers need to switch to the "Correct Demonstration" tab before uploading the demonstration video , read through and make full use of the guidance information.
The Demo Videos page will show the status of each video uploaded by the seller . Specifically , demo videos may show the following statuses: Pending Review, Processing, Active, and Rejected .
If the seller 's video shows the "Rejected" status, the page will also display the "Rejection Reason" to let the seller know why the video was rejected. To learn more about the "Status" and "Rejection Reason" , you need to check on the platform.
Another important point is that currently videos with a resolution lower than 480p will be automatically rejected after being uploaded . The platform strongly recommends that sellers only upload videos with high resolution (preferably over 1080p) and sufficient lighting to clearly show the seller 's products.
In addition, Wish said it will launch a limited-time ProductBoost offer, or “subsidy budget,” for some randomly selected sellers .
Assuming that the activity created by the seller meets the following requirements, the platform will provide the seller with a "subsidy budget" of 10% of the initial budget , which will be added to the total activity budget .
All products in ProductBoost campaigns have demo videos, and the status of these demo videos is “Active” (i.e. the demo video has been approved by Wish and is being shown to users) on the “Demo Videos” page in the Merchant Dashboard.
The platform recommends that sellers continue to upload demonstration videos and use the “subsidy budget” to increase product exposure .
Because demonstration videos can further help merchants display products in a more creative and effective way based on product images, titles, descriptions and other information, thereby attracting more users, the platform strongly recommends sellers to continue uploading high-quality demonstration videos to show products to Wish Android and iOS app users around the world .
