Amazon failed miserably? The online clothing craze is coming, and the British love to use these websites

The latest research data shows that British consumers prefer clothing shopping in the upcoming shopping boom, and online shopping has become their main purchasing method. The online clothing boom is about to hit, who will be the biggest winner?

Amazon's failure? Who can win the hearts of British consumers?

Amazon is the world's largest comprehensive shopping platform and the most visited shopping platform among British consumers. According to the survey, in 2020, 93% of British online shoppers purchased goods on the Amazon platform, of which 86% purchased goods from Amazon UK. This means that 93 out of every 100 British online shoppers have purchased goods on Amazon.

Although Amazon's position is very strong, it did not enter the fashion market very early. Through its efforts in recent years, Amazon's position in fashion has continued to strengthen.

It is reported that 60% of consumers buy clothing and accessories on Amazon. However, 27% of consumers said that Amazon needs to further improve the appearance of its website and improve the shopping experience.

In the upcoming clothing shopping boom, can Amazon continue to win the hearts of British consumers?

Online retailers such as ASOS and Boohoo have become the preferred clothing shopping channel for British consumers, beating out the online websites of some of the leading physical retailers, department stores, brand stores and even Amazon, according to new research .

It seems that British consumers still prefer to buy some clothing products on local e-commerce platforms.

Clothing online shopping boom: 69% of clothing is purchased online

A research institute conducted a survey on 2,000 British consumers who frequently purchase fashion items, revealing the latest purchasing trends in the fashion category.

The survey shows that 69% of clothing purchases in the UK are currently made online, and 63% of consumers said that the epidemic is about to end and they are more likely to buy clothes online now than before the epidemic.

Moreover, due to the epidemic, more and more clothing retailers have chosen to turn to online sales, which has also led to a part of physical consumers moving online. Therefore, in the next few months, the UK will usher in a wave of online clothing shopping, and more clothing purchases will be made online.

Research shows that some brand websites and apps are the main channels for British consumers to purchase clothing products. In addition, most British consumers said that the biggest factor affecting their purchase of clothing products is price. It seems that having no money is a problem that plagues people all over the world.

40% of consumers said that exclusive offers from shopping platforms or retailers would encourage them to place orders faster; and 32% of consumers said that they would buy more whenever there were discounts and promotions.
