48% of Canadian small businesses insist on selling online to improve their competitiveness

Recently, an organization conducted a survey of small and medium-sized enterprises in Canada and found that 48% of companies plan to continue selling their products online after the COVID-19 pandemic ends. In addition, only two percent of companies said they would give up online sales after the country's lockdown and social distance restrictions end.

 

Some small and medium-sized business owners in China said that 51% of their business and 38% of their sales were online, which was a matter of life and death for them during the COVID-19 pandemic. New research conducted by the Federation of Independent Businesses (CFIB) and Google shows that connecting with customers online is a top priority for many small businesses, which can help small and medium-sized enterprises repay debts and improve and develop Canadian e-commerce websites.

 

In fact, in 2020, small businesses have adapted to new ways to attract customers and sell products using e-commerce, and many small businesses said that the digital strategy is likely to be permanent. However, some companies said that digital marketing departments and huge advertising expenditures may cause them to face strategic challenges.

 

A quarter of small businesses selling online say that e-commerce success is an important driver of their continued development, but they also need to increase their potential revenue and enhance their competitiveness, and they need to improve their online image and improve their social and digital marketing.

 

To this end, Google launched a new version of Grow My Store, saying it is a free tool that can help small businesses attract online customers and improve the user's online shopping experience. Businesses can also get a free store growth report, which will evaluate the performance of their site, find out how other retailers in the industry compare, and provide tailored suggestions for areas where businesses need to improve.
