North America is once again in the outdoor trend, and the favorite products of millennials are...

According to foreign media reports, a large number of scientific studies have shown that long-term stay in nature is good for human physical and mental health.

Although social restrictions have forced most Americans to stay at home , nearly 90% of Americans are still doing their best to create natural activities for themselves - choosing to enjoy their outdoor spaces on balconies , porches and patios .

They believe that the outdoor living space created at this moment is more valuable than what they have experienced before. Therefore, the outdoor trend continues to rise in every household and the sales of outdoor garden products continue to rise.

According to an exclusive survey conducted by the International Casual Furniture Association in January 2021 : People are doing more things that make them feel relaxed: barbecues on the rooftop , gardening , exercising , dining , playing with pets and children, and other outdoor activities .

The survey was conducted among 1,000 representative U.S. adults aged 18 and older.

The survey also showed that 58 % of American consumers plan to buy at least one new piece of furniture or accessories for their outdoor living space this year, with grills, stoves, lounge chairs, lighting equipment, dining tables and chairs, sofas and umbrellas accounting for the majority of their purchases .

The person in charge of the survey said that the proportion of purchases of outdoor equipment will continue to grow until the epidemic is completely controlled and social isolation policies are lifted .

There is also an interesting discovery that millennials have become the main force in outdoor entertainment . It is reported that more than half of millennials will buy multiple sets of outdoor furniture in the future, while the proportion of Generation Z is 29%. Young people are more inclined to pursue a comfortable and free life in nature.

Other data show that the vast majority of Americans are dissatisfied with their outdoor spaces . Therefore, this year, a large number of consumers will renovate their own yards and other outdoor environments.

Among them, when choosing home products for outdoor spaces , the choices of millennials and Generation Z are different. Compared with Generation Z , millennials are more inclined to choose sofas or modular sofas and bar-style designs , accounting for 40% to 17%.

While decorations like rugs or pillows are not much different, both generations prefer to have cozy blankets on the floor to create a more comfortable experience when moving around.

In addition to these, outdoor lighting , reclining chairs or daybeds , fire pits and dining tables with chairs were all included on the list of outdoor equipment that about 50% of Americans want most.

Due to the pursuit of the outdoors and the limitations of realistic conditions, the popularity of this "home outdoor trend" will only increase for a long time to come . Sellers can select products based on the psychology of North American consumers.
