A poor seller said that a consumer ordered a product half a year ago and applied for a return after using it for half a year. Beginning April 15, 2021, we will offer your customers undamaged and free replacements as an option for eligible items as part of our Prepaid Return Label Program. This change will provide you with an additional return solution and give customers the option to receive a replacement item at no charge.

 

In addition to being able to request a refund for an item that is damaged , defective, or different than what was ordered, customers can now choose to exchange their product. This preserves your sale without converting the transaction into a refund , and customers will continue to receive a prepaid return label for their item, whether they request an exchange or a refund.

 

Under the free replacement program, customers have seven days to return the original product . After scanning the prepaid return label, we will receive confirmation of the customer's return and notify you to ship the replacement . For items that are eligible for a return refund, customers can choose to return them for a replacement. "

 

 

After the return policy was updated again, many sellers said that this would bring many hidden dangers to returns.

 

I have seen many sellers say on the Amazon seller forum: “Amazon’s new return policy is completely condoning buyer fraud!”

 

From the announcement, we can also see that when Amazon notifies the buyer to start shipping the original item , the seller will start shipping the replacement item . If the return item is not received, the seller will have to exchange the item for the buyer. I believe many sellers are disgusted with this operation process ...

 

A seller said sadly: If the consumer thinks the product is "damaged" after receiving it and initiates a return or exchange, the seller will send the new product to the buyer, but the buyer thinks the new product is still defective and initiates a return or exchange, the seller will send the new product to the buyer again, and the cycle will repeat...

 

Will this result in endless returns and exchanges? Therefore, the seller also has to bear the corresponding shipping costs, and the consumer has 7 days to return the original product. If the product is damaged during these 7 days and then replaced with a new one, if this happens, the seller will be the victim.

A: Amazon has no interest in protecting sellers in the first place because 100% of my “defective” claims are fraudulent;

Although many sellers believe that this policy is very unfriendly to sellers, Amazon mentioned in the announcement that " this will preserve your sales without converting transactions into refunds ." In fact, allowing buyers to exchange products can effectively reduce the refund rate of products.

 

Surprise: Prime Day is now available for submission

According to the information I have learned, some Amazon sellers have received Prime Day notification messages from the platform , and some US sellers have already seen news of Prime Day flash sales in their backends.

The start time for submitting Prime Day LD/BD is March 8 and the end time is April 16;

The start time for claiming Prime Day coupons is March 8 and the end time is May 28;

The start time for claiming Prime Day Mario (member-only discount) is March 29 and the end time is 2 weeks before the Prime Day event date;

The FBA warehousing deadline is May 31st.

 

 

Amazon said that the background recommendations will be constantly refreshed. If the seller sees the recommendation in the background, he needs to submit it as soon as possible. If he does not submit it for a long time, it may be deleted and he will lose the recommendation.
