Amazon has bad news again, sporting goods sellers may be restricted

As the leader of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, the NFL has always had a strong fan base, with 14 million fans in the UK alone. Its annual matches are highly watched by football fans. During the events, its fans will also buy related products such as clothing to show their support, which has led to the hot sales of its peripheral products.

For Amazon, cooperation with the NFL is not only conducive to the expansion of existing relationships, but also allows it to hold the exclusive authorization of the NFL, provide consumers with more NFL product choices, and improve consumer experience, which is beneficial to both its products and platforms.

But this is undoubtedly bad news for sellers, because Amazon has sent a notice to sellers who are or have sold NFL-related apparel, headgear, fan equipment or other related products on Amazon , requiring sellers to become NFL-authorized sellers before May 24, 2021. Otherwise, sellers are not allowed to sell NFL-related products on Amazon, and their related listings will also be deleted.

Sellers of NFL-related video games, trading cards, books, media and sports collectibles will not be affected by this agreement and do not need to worry.

Sellers selling NFL-related products need to pay attention to the following:

1. You must obtain authorization before May 24, 2021 to continue selling NFL-related products on Amazon. It is reported that sellers with excellent sales performance and rich experience are more likely to obtain NFL authorization. Relevant sellers can contact the NFL as soon as possible to obtain authorization.

2. If the seller does not obtain authorization from the NFL on May 24, 2021, the Amazon Operations Center will remove the listings of these products. Amazon will reimburse the return or handling fees of such products before June 24, 2021.

3. In addition, starting from April 24, 2021, sellers will not be able to send NFL-related products to Amazon's logistics centers, and Amazon will no longer accept NFL products from unauthorized sellers.

Therefore, sellers of related products need to contact the NFL in a timely manner to obtain product authorization in order to sell peripheral products better and more reasonably and usher in a new hot season.
