WishPost: Some logistics channels are closed and seller accounts will be checked regularly

Wish recently released two updated policies, which involve sellers’ logistics and WishPost account validity issues, which will have a significant impact on the sellers involved.

Some WishPost channels are limited or closed

Starting from 10:00 a.m. on August 27, 2021 (Beijing time) , some of WishPost's logistics channels and corresponding routes will be closed or limited.

The logistics channels involved include Huahan, Jie Mai Song , YDH, CNE , Shunyou , Yuntu , 4PX Delivery , etc., and the destinations involved include the United Kingdom, Australia, Portugal, Germany, Spain and many other destinations.

Limited logistics channels and destination countries

Wish said in the announcement, "If merchants are currently using the WishPost logistics channel that is about to be closed or limited, we strongly encourage merchants to switch to other logistics channels."

WishPost will regularly check the registration information of all accounts

In order to enhance the security of everyone's WishPost account, starting from September 2, 2021 (Beijing time), WishPost will begin to regularly check the registration information of all WishPost accounts.

If the seller's WishPost account has the following conditions, the corresponding registration information will be invalid and the relevant seller needs to update the registration information as soon as possible.

Personal account: The personal ID card has expired or will expire within 30 natural days; 2. The personal information has changed and is different from the WishPost registration information (such as personal name change, etc.).

Company account: The company's business license has expired or will expire within 90 natural days; the legal person's ID card has expired or will expire within 90 natural days; the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has marked the company as having an abnormal operating status; the company's information has changed and is different from the WishPost registration information (such as company name change, legal person change, etc.).

Starting from September 2, 2021, if a seller's account has the above problems, WishPost will remind the seller to update the registration information before the corresponding deadline. If the seller still fails to update the registration information as required after the deadline, WishPost will not allow this account to place a shipping order.

It is also recommended that sellers check their account registration information in advance. If the information has changed, they can update the registration information on the WishPost "Account Status" page to ensure account security.

Judging from the content of this announcement, Wish intends to strengthen the information review and management of sellers. Considering that Wish recently implemented more severe penalties on misleading products and restricted some WishPost accounts with duplicate real-name authentication information, it can be seen that Wish is constantly increasing its crackdown on irregular behaviors on the platform.

At Wish's second quarter earnings conference, the company acknowledged that both active users and traffic had declined, and stated that it would optimize the quality of its merchants and their products to retain customers. It can be predicted that the Wish platform will have stricter management of sellers and products in the future.

It is an industry trend for e-commerce platforms to strengthen their management of sellers and make the platforms more standardized. Sellers should also pay attention to complying with platform rules and keep abreast of platform policy updates to avoid losses caused by violating platform rules.
