Soriana is a Mexican public company and large retailer with over 606 stores. It is a chain of grocery and general merchandise stores headquartered in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

About Soriana

  • Soriana was founded in 1968. As of 2013, the company's brands include: Soriana, Clubes City Club, Hipermart, Mercado Soriana and Super City. Super City is the brand of the company's convenience store division. The company also provides supermarkets and department stores for consumers and wholesale markets.
  • Soriana's main competitors are HEB Mexico, Alsuper, Comercial Mexicana, Chedraui, S-Mart and Walmex. On December 6, 2007, Organizacion Soriana acquired Supermercados Gigante for $1.35 billion.
  • In 2008, Soriana replaced existing stores with Gigante stores, including seven in the U.S. Most Mexican stores retain props such as point-of-sale systems and food equipment.
  • In 2012, Soriana had more than 606 stores in 208 cities across Mexico, under five store brands, including 249 Soriana Híper, 105 Soriana Súper, 147 Mercado Soriana, 72 Soriana Express and 33 City Club. It also has 14 distribution centers.
  • Soriana is chaired by Francisco Javier Martín and its CEO is Ricardo Martin Bringas. It has 93,700 employees and in 2012, the company had revenues of $8 billion and net profits of $277.4 million.

A: Returns are not possible in the following cases:

  • Any item purchased at a sale or clearance price.
  • This product does not belong to a serial number purchased on Soriana.
  • When an item is found with its security seal broken or outside of its original packaging.
  • When an item is manipulated by a third party for evaluation, repair or modification.
  • Use of parts not authorized by the manufacturer.
  • Using methods other than those described in the user manual.
  • Damage to the electrical installation or electric shock.
  • Returns cannot be accepted and physical alterations cannot be made in Soriana stores or any other corporate format store.
