Attention! Dunhuang.com releases notice on product information violation management

Yesterday, Dunhuang.com issued a new announcement, stating that it will take action against illegal product information.

 

Dunhuang.com said that recently, some sellers have violated regulations when publishing product information. Such violations are not only detrimental to product transactions, but also seriously affect the shopping experience of buyers, making it difficult for buyers to clearly understand the true information of the product. The platform will continue to carry out special inspections for violations such as product image information violations, random category placement, product price violations, and the use of suggestive information to refer to brand names. Sellers are requested to strictly abide by the platform rules.

 

Subsequently, Dunhuang.com announced the specific requirements for publishing product information.

 

1. Requirements for publishing product images:

 

(1) Product images must be in jpeg or png format. Photos in other formats are strictly prohibited.

 

(2) You may not use technology or other means to block or mosaic product images. (For adult product publishing requirements, please refer to the "Analysis of Adult Product Publishing Rules" for publishing.)

 

(3) Do not add any illegal content unrelated to the product to the image.

 

2. Random category definitions

 

Random categories refer to the situation where the actual category of a product does not match the category selected for publication when the seller publishes the product. DHgate emphasizes that products should be published in the smallest category that is highly relevant and appropriate, and products with matching categories cannot be published in the others category.

 

3. Use suggestive information to refer to the brand name

 

Product information shall not contain brand words that do not match the actual brand of the product and information with strong suggestiveness, such as using brand variations, abbreviations, pronouns commonly used by consumers, etc. to imply the product brand, or using various methods to imply that the actual product carries a related brand.

 

4. Product pricing violations

 

(1) Price mismatch (extremely high /low price): The product price set by the seller is significantly higher or lower than the normal market price.

 

(2) Shipping fee fraud: The seller sets the shipping fee lower than the actual shipping fee, or deliberately lowers the product price and raises the shipping fee in order to attract buyers' attention.

 

(3) SKU cheating: refers to the behavior of sellers deliberately circumventing the product SKU setting rules and abusing product attributes (such as packages, accessories, etc.) to set prices that are too low or far away from the actual price, so that the product is ranked higher.

 

Dunhuang.com said that if a seller violates the regulations in publishing product information, a yellow card will be issued each time and the offending products will be removed from the shelves. Products that infringe intellectual property rights will be handled in accordance with the intellectual property prohibition and restriction regulations.
