More than 2,000 related listings have been removed from the shelves, but they are still being banned. The selling price is over a thousand, and some sellers have been banned.

eBay is removing "harmful and erroneous" listings, including six books published by Dr. Seuss and at least 15 Nazi-themed toys - including SS figurines and toy Nazi tanks, media reported .

Following news last week that six Dr. Seuss books featuring racist and insensitive imagery would no longer be published, the books have been appearing on resale sites like eBay and Amazon, selling for thousands of dollars .

The titles of the six books include : "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street", "If I Ran the Zoo", "McElligot's Pool", "On Beyond Zebra!", "Scrambled Eggs Super!" and "The Cat's Quizzer". Last Thursday, "Mulberry Street" alone sold for a high price of $1,500 on eBay. On Amazon, the hardcover of "If I Ran the Zoo" starts at $789 and can go up to $5,000.

Although an eBay spokesperson said the company is "currently sweeping the eBay marketplace to remove these items ," hundreds of sellers can still be found on eBay selling these "banned" or "canceled" versions. On Thursday afternoon , Dr. Seuss's books were selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars . One buyer bought the six books in a package for $1,110 , and several people made bids during the auction .

As of the afternoon of March 6, nine of Amazon's 10 best-selling books (updated hourly) were Dr. Seuss books, but not the six that were discontinued.

Not only Dr. Seuss's books, eBay also removed at least 15 Nazi-themed toys from other listings . According to Jewish News, these toys violated eBay's policy on products that promote hateful or violent ideologies. eBay then issued an apology and removed a large number of illegal Nazi-related toy listings.

As early as November last year , the Jewish News issued a warning to eBay, saying that 3,993 Nazi-themed or Nazi-related products had been sold on eBay in the past 11 months. eBay then issued an apology statement, removed more than 2,000 Nazi-related listings, and banned the sellers involved. But it seems that these people have not learned their lesson. Four months later, Nazi-themed toys have returned to the eBay platform again.

After the incident was exposed again, an eBay spokesperson told the media that eBay has banned and deleted the relevant listings and taken action against the sellers. eBay has zero tolerance for hateful or discriminatory behavior on and off the platform, and eBay deeply apologizes for all the dissatisfaction caused by this.
