Products of sellers not using the platform’s logistics service are hidden. Russian e-commerce company Yandex.Market is doing something ridiculous.

Recently, Russian e-commerce platform Yandex.Market conducted a test to "hide" products in search results that are not stored in the platform's warehouse or sold directly on the platform.

Simply put, if the seller does not choose platform logistics, then when consumers search for products on the platform, the first thing they will see will be the products stored in the platform’s warehouse, and these products will be marked with the “Purchase on the Market” logo.

The products of self-delivery sellers who do not choose platform logistics will be squeezed behind the platform products. If this function is really launched, the life of self-delivery sellers will be difficult. From the perspective of consumers, they are more likely to buy products that are ranked higher in the search results.

Sources said that since the platform had notified all sellers before testing the new function, the possibility of it being launched in the end is relatively high and will be applicable to platform sellers.

Yandex.Market 's confusing behavior has angered many sellers.

Seller A: The devil.

Seller B: Since Yandex.Market has excluded us, I have excluded it from my life as well.

If you want your product to be ranked higher in search results, most sellers can only choose to use platform logistics. Some sellers said that Yandex.Market's practice is "illegal" and suspected of monopoly.

The Yandex.Market news center believes that this incident did not deliberately incite the emotions of sellers. The platform said that the platform will not compensate sellers whose products are hidden and whose orders are reduced, but the platform provides each seller with the opportunity to quickly deliver the goods to the platform warehouse and sell them on the platform with a minimum commission of 2%.

Some sellers said that if their products are competitive and popular on the platform, they can consider sending their goods to the platform warehouse, so that their rankings will go up.

Or if the product is differentiated and competitors do not store their goods in the platform warehouse, it can still be promoted using the platform's price comparison, and Yandex.Market currently does not have the possibility to disable this feature. In this way, the product can still remain at the top of the search results.
