Wish is in trouble again, with a large number of electrical products accused of having safety hazards

As we all know, product safety issues have always received much attention. Nowadays, safety problems of various electrical products occur frequently, consumers are deeply harmed, and sellers also suffer joint losses.

Safety hazards are frequently exposed

Recently, a BBC investigation found that some electrical products currently sold on the Wish platform pose safety hazards and may cause electric shock or fire. These products include curling irons, hair clippers and hair dryers .

In addition, the BBC also highlighted the following dangerous items in its investigative report:

--A scooter charger with an illegal clove-shaped plug .

--Extension cords that may cause electric shock .

--A hair dryer with an illegal clove-shaped plug .

--Multi -function plugs without safety shutters , leaving internal live components exposed .

--Hair clippers with substandard adapters .

--Car battery charger with illegal clove-shaped plug .

Product quality issues cannot be ignored

British consumers said that these items pose a safety hazard and hope that the government can take appropriate measures to prevent British consumers from purchasing such electrical products that do not meet safety standards and suffer safety threats. Some British consumers also suggested that legislation on dangerous electrical products be included in the Online Harms Bill currently under consideration by the British Parliament.

To this end, a British charity expressed the hope that sellers on the Wish platform would be responsible for the safety of their goods and remove products with safety hazards as soon as possible.

Wish platform responded later , saying that there must be evidence to prove that these products do not meet safety standards and pose safety risks before they can be removed from the shelves and consumers' losses can be refunded. However, Wish platform said that only individual sellers on the Wish platform can check whether these products comply with safety regulations.

In addition, some consumers said that such products with safety risks can still be found on the Wish platform , which means that the Wish platform has not deleted the listings of these products.

Safety issues have once again sounded the alarm for sellers. Product safety issues cannot be ignored. Only by being truly responsible for products and consumers can the sustainable development of the brand be achieved. Sellers should increase their control over safety issues, avoid product recalls and delistings caused by quality issues, and stop losses in a timely manner to avoid further losses .
