eBay issued an announcement: German logistics delivery changes will take effect from February 7

On February 3, eBay China's official website released an announcement stating that since eBay announced the enhanced overseas warehouse service standards at the end of April 2020, the compliance performance of overseas warehouse transactions by sellers in Greater China has continued to improve. Now eBay has made revisions to the overseas warehouse service standard policy based on the business development needs of sellers and the actual service level of overseas logistics service providers.

For products with a location in Germany and a unit price of less than 5 euros (including shipping), if the seller uses an overseas warehousing service provider that connects data with eBay to ship the goods, the seller can choose to use Deutsche Post Letter service as the final logistics service. This part of the transaction will not be included in the assessment of timely shipment rate and timely delivery rate in the overseas warehouse service standard assessment, and the compliance listing rate and non-receipt dispute rate will be assessed normally. Please ensure that the listing quantity is consistent with the actual inventory and ship on time.

This change will take effect from 0:00 on February 7, 2021. If sellers need to ship goods through overseas warehousing service providers that have data connection with eBay, they need to upload transaction data (including eBay transaction order number and item number) to the overseas warehouse supplier in a timely and accurate manner so that eBay can obtain the relevant transaction data in full.

Just last month, warehouses in Germany were overwhelmed, causing difficulties for local UPS and GLS deliveries. Many goods were piled up in major operation centers and could not be delivered on the final leg. Because of the pan-European plan, some sellers' goods were piled up in European warehouses, which took time to process. Not only in Germany, but also in the entire European end of delivery, there were delays.

Many sellers still cannot forget the extremely difficult logistics and transportation during that period. At the end of January, the German federal government decided to tighten entry restrictions and passed an entry ban for air, rail, road and sea transportation, which will be valid until February 17. This made the already pessimistic logistics situation even worse. Some people reported that the logistics time was delayed by about 5 days compared with usual. It is reasonable for eBay to respond to this.
