Entry requirements

  • German local company registration: Even if it is a domestic seller brand, it is necessary to use a local German company to register the seller account of the OTTO platform, and the annual sales in Germany in 2019 must be more than 1 million euros. At the same time, it is also necessary to provide the German company's local bank account number and VAT tax number in Germany for subsequent payment process operations.

  • Local logistics and delivery in Germany: Currently only self-delivery mode is supported. All merchants need to send goods to buyers from Germany (through their own warehouses in Germany or German overseas warehouses for self-delivery). DHL/Hermes/GLS must be used for delivery.
  • Seller Social Responsibility Guidelines: The platform will sign a series of contracts to ensure that the platform meets the conditions of being a third-party seller in terms of environmental protection, ecology, human rights, quality, and service.

-In 2016, furniture, home furnishings, lighting and the company's own stores were launched.

-In 2016, Otto’s online turnover reached 689 million euros, making it the largest online furniture and home furnishings company in Germany.
