What is KiKUU? KiKUU Review, Features

KiKUU was founded in 2015 and is a trading platform for cross-border e-commerce mobile clients in Africa. KiKUU independently established a cross-border e-commerce trading platform, dedicated to helping global merchants develop B2C business in Africa, deeply cultivate the African market, take advantage of the local 4G popularization opportunity, enter the ordinary white-collar group, and seize the market opportunity.

About KiKUU

KiKUU has established full logistics distribution centers in nine countries including Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, Congo (DRC), Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Congo (Brazzaville).

As of December 2017, KiKUU APP has more than 1.2 million registered users, with an average daily active user base of more than 150,000 and an annual growth rate of 600%, ranking first in the shopping APP rankings in Ghana and Tanzania.

KiKUU has the strong logistics trunk line support of its logistics partner, Pan-African Express, and has built its own logistics system to ensure the "last mile" and open up shopping markets in 9 African countries.

KiKUU has no minimum shipping price and measures weight by grams, which greatly reduces transportation costs and gives merchants more flexibility.

The core members of the KiKUU team come from Alibaba, JD.com, and have extensive experience in the e-commerce industry, ensuring the stable and rapid development of the business.

Platform Advantages

1. KiKUU provides each merchant with sales portals in nine African countries. In addition to collecting a deposit of 3,000 yuan from each store as a user service guarantee (a full refund will be made if there is no transaction) to be responsible for the platform's users, no entry fees are charged, and a proportional commission is charged upon completion of the transaction.

2. KiKUU provides each merchant with a very flexible account settlement plan; the platform adopts a combination of prepayment and final payment, with a short settlement cycle, which can minimize the difficulty of merchants in collecting payments in cross-border e-commerce.

3. KiKUU's multi-channel China-Africa transportation resources guarantee the entire time efficiency, bringing consumers the best African shopping experience. We have built our own local logistics team in Africa to escort the "last mile" for every package, providing every merchant with a worry-free cross-border logistics solution.

Entry conditions

The KiKUU platform will comprehensively consider the merchant’s entry conditions based on the merchant’s business category, platform experience, inventory capacity, corporate qualifications, etc.

1. A personal merchant account can apply for 1 retail store;

2. Enterprise merchant accounts can apply for 3 retail stores, and currently do not accept wholesale store applications;

3. After successfully settling in, merchants need to pay a store deposit of 3,000 yuan based on the store dimensions.

Entry requirements

1. Provide other platform operating information: including platform name, online store address, and sales in the most recent year.

2. Provide product information: including main product types and quantity of products available for online sale.

3. Note your own strengths: Individual registration requires a brief description of your strengths; corporate registration requires the company type (factory or trading).

Note: Submitting the following information will help increase your chances of success: owning your own factory or having a stable supply of goods, and noting the address and business situation; KiKUU platform business plan, such as the main categories, staffing, etc.; having your own brand or brand authorization; having experience in African trade, and noting the country of trade, delivery status, annual sales, etc.

Category requirements

1. All goods prohibited from being transported by air are currently not available for sale on the KiKUU platform (lithium batteries, flammable and explosive materials, white powder, lenses, etc.).

2. Shoes and wedding dresses (closed categories) can only publish products under this category. For other major categories of stores, it is recommended that the selected business category be the main category of the store.

3. Once a store selects a business category, no application to modify the business category will be accepted.

Commission and Settlement

1. Commission: 12% of the total order amount.

2. Billing cycle: Every half of the natural month is the settlement cycle, and the 1st and 16th of each month are the billing dates (holidays are postponed). The merchant needs to confirm the bill within 3 working days, and the payment will be completed 3-5 working days after the bill is confirmed.

After-sales related

1. By default, the KiKUU platform supports a 7-day no-reason return policy for all products except special categories (underwear, wigs, etc.).

2. Due to customs, import and export costs, etc., if the buyer returns the goods, the goods will not be returned to China. For returns caused by merchant reasons such as (quality, inconsistent with the description, less delivery), the merchant shall bear the relevant expenses; for returns caused by 7-day unconditional return, the platform will bear 50% of the order amount.

Settlement process

1. Merchants submit applications for entry:

(1) Log in here and click "Sign in Now" in the upper right corner;

(2) After the merchant fills in the "Registration Information" and signs the "Settlement & Deposit Agreement", click the "Register Now" button. If the information is correct, the merchant account will be created; at this time, the merchant status is pending application for settlement.

(3) After the merchant fills in the "Merchant Information" and "Operation Information", click the "Submit Settlement Application" button. If the information is correct, the settlement application can be submitted; at this time, the merchant status is under review.

(4) After the review is passed, the system will send a review pass email to the merchant, and the merchant can log in to the KiKUU merchant backend.

2. Merchants create stores: Merchants create stores - select store type - fill in store name - select business category - fill in contact number - submit to create store.

3. Merchant pays deposit: After paying the deposit, the merchant submits the deposit certificate, including bank card number, name, transfer amount, transfer screenshot, and waits for review. The review will be completed within 3-5 working days.
