Not long ago, AliExpress clarified the "POP+full custody" dual-track driving model for the cross-border industry, and had a clear positioning for different products: POP encourages new product-driven, high-rich products, which can be fulfilled through cross-border direct delivery/JIT; while cross-border full custody focuses on products represented by light and small items and relatively concentrated standard products, and encourages warehouse delivery.
After the "dual-track drive" was confirmed , the tiered rights of full custody and POP also took effect. Recently, a full custody merchant posted his October tier online. The S-level merchant label attracted the envy of other merchants. The merchant shared his experience of "rushing to the next level" online : "The rules are very simple. In fact, the more warehouses you send, the higher the level."
According to official information from AliExpress, merchants classified as S-level can enjoy a variety of rights and interests . Among other content on this S-level merchant’s Douyin account, there are also many sharings of experiences of shipping a large number of orders and booming business.
At present, cross-border e-commerce has entered the preparation stage for Double 11. The most important thing for merchants in October is to pay attention to the following three things in the merchant backend :
1. How to check the tier level of your store?
Starting from October, merchants can check their tiered levels in "Cross-border Seller Center - Store Information - Merchant Tiered Assessment".
When you reach S level, you can get benefits such as: additional subsidies for door-to-door delivery, refund of performance penalty, reduction of shipping fee for return of warehouse, early loan, and advance payment for warehousing .
The merchant level is a new dynamic assessment standard launched by AliExpress in 2024 based on the original "Gold and Silver Merchant System", which is regarded as a weather vane for platform traffic and focus. Among them, warehouse-related indicators account for more than 80% of the tiered assessment of fully managed merchants.
2. How to become an S-level merchant?
There is a shortcut to upgrading your merchant level.
When fully managed merchants receive "warehousing or replenishment invitations" for "must-warehouse goods", they can actively respond to prepare goods for warehousing and fulfill orders according to orders, and have the opportunity to reach S-level in a short period of time .
In addition, if you actively respond to stocking up recently, you will have the opportunity to receive the "direct cash rebate incentive" from the Double 11 platform as shown in the poster .
3. How to improve product quality and reduce product refund rate?
Recently, AliExpress has also launched an important function called "Warning of Products with Excessive Refund Rates" to facilitate merchants to self-check products and improve quality.
Merchants can check "Products with Exceeding Refund Rate" in "Cross-border Seller Center - Physical Examination - Product Assessment" to facilitate adjustments.
Currently, the "Refund Rate Assessment Rules" have come into effect. If it is found that the refund rate of a product seriously exceeds the standard, it is recommended that merchants pay attention to it after discovering that the refund rate of a product seriously exceeds the standard.
